Pankration Dark Ele Tips

Hello I have been trying to raise a dark ele for pankration because I have heard they are pretty bad ass in there. My pet has originally magic attack bonus +15%. I was thinking of adding SJ RDM for Insta SS and phalanx. Also I am giving it black magic scroll. I am wondering should I get a better pet with original abilities or is this fine? A few tips will help before I put my time into this thing and it turns out it was fail from the start. (though we all know pankration itself is fail). Anyways thanks .
