If you haven't heard yet Fantasy Earth Zero, a game developed by none other then our beloved Square Enix for use on Playonline was released in Asia by another company who bought the rights to the game.

Well now Gamepot is releasing a free to play version of Fantasy Earth Zero here in the US for all of us.

Fantasy Earth Zero or FEZ is an MMORPG, that instead of a main focus on PvE, it specializes in full scale war. There are 5 Kingdoms you choose a side, and you take place in massive 50 v 50 Battles and 100 v 100 battles.

Three Classes will be out at launch, Warrior, Mage and Scout.

Depending on how you skill your character will depend on what it does. For instance Scout can either be an Archer, or a Rogue. Mage can specialize in Lightning Ice or Fire magic. Warrior can be a few things aswell such as using 2H weapons, and a stunner.

There is a basic "Rock Paper Scissor" element of the classes. Warrior typically are effective against Scouts, and Scouts are Effective against Mages and Mages are good against Warriors. However that's just a rule of thumb and any class can kill any class.


There are also 2 classes that won't be available yet, Cestas which is a hand 2 hand user that is effective against destroying enemy buildings and fortifications. And Fencer, which is most effective when multiple people are ganging up on it.



Any how the Beta starts in a week, and the game client will be available for download in a few minutes, we're all hyped about it on the Facebook page.



Check it out, and play, it's a Square Enix game, so you know it's good, do something while you wait for FFXIV

No, because enough though it has SE's name on part of it, it was made by Fenix Soft, and even before that a smaller company that was absorbed by them, and then SE had the rights, then they sold it to Gamepot.


So really it's not an SE game. Except in name.

I downloaded this game last night and tried running it. It won't run when I click START after the patching

try disabling Norton if you have that, or whatever other antivirus program you have. it should run just fine..
