Level 99 PUP with level 49 DNC sub job will be able to solo Kirin I bet.

I'm curious what kinds of spells automatons will have access to now. Thunder IV is a given. Maybe AMII spells too.

New merit-esque system sounds promising as well.

P.S. PUP/SCH is going to be even more ridiculous now. But what is really getting me is SMN/RDM. It will have Haste, Refresh, Convert, etc.

ya its sweet but really no clue to how this will overall effect us once cap is 99..... maybe there will be like A++++++++++ ratings or some shit and A will be the new C? only time will tell... I dont get my hopes up with SE.

Still in complete awe at the job adjustments alone. I wonder if SE is going to rebalance monk because now PUP is extremely overpowering it.

Doesn't matter. A wont be far off from other melee jobs in any case. A to A+ is only 7 skill points at level 75, and variations of A only begin to show around level 60. So at the most we'll have maybe 14 skill less than a new A++ rank (which I doubt exists.)

Puppets and their attachments are becoming stronger as well, I'm excited to see which attachments are affected.

Mnk still retains the haste and martial arts advantage. along with focus counter and dodge. its is a boon to pups every where though

Idk whether to be happy or sad atm really. I consider equally my mains mnk and pup but way game is i use mnk tons more. I guess making my mnk obsolete in turn for pup could be kinda neato though as its pretty decked.

Sad that my shens are now going to be worthless in a few months most likely lol.... good lving weps till lv80 h2h right? ;D

Im a little upset for PUP to go to an A skill, tbh, I feel like it could be just TOO much. I was hoping for a flat B one day, but.. i wont complain!

Auraeon, just thought I would point out, SE said with the level cap that not all SJ abilities will be available, and many of thewm will be retuned for SJs too. 10 bucks says no TH2 from SJ, or Haste, ect.

However.. yeah. PUP99/DNC is gonna be kind of epic.

Im drooling at all the possibilities..

My main question; Will SE impose a level 75 cap in old areas? Raising the level to 99 destroys all semblance of balance in ALL old world areas. Will they attempt to make 75 still the standard, with 76-99 for new areas only? Or are they really just giving us free reign to destroy everything in Vana'Diel before the games eventual demise?

if the games dying id wager its the latter. Yeah I am stoked. sucks that pup will probably now be a bandwagon job like sam (i never lvld sam for that reason)

wonder what they'll do to harle. and it would have been nice to add white magic to VE but meh guess we'll see

Let's not forget that the higher level cap means we will get higher Automaton Magic Skill. Hello Thunder IV and beyond!

I also like that they are adjusting Harlequin. I have not used that poor thing since level 10. I also wonder how they are adjusting Valoredge. Maybe he will get more defense than a wet paper bag. It would have to be major changes but maybe he will do a little tanking. I guess we will find out soon. March is right around the corner!

Oh and woo A punching skill!

It's a long shot but I'd like to see our puppets get at least Raise at some point. >.> lol But changing our H2H rating from C to A is an orgasm in itself, and a very welcome change. I'm excited about these next few updates. Level caps and A skill ratings and bears, oh my.

I'm thinking they'll give Valoredge some kind of innate damage resistance, or at least enhance the damage reduction attachments, and like someone else said, they're likely giving Valoredge and MP pool and up to Cure IV to better keep itself alive. Most likely only to cast on itself though, but still, welcome change if that is the case.

Oh and with the level cap increase, that means Cannibal Blade damage will go up significantly with Valoredge's base attack stat too.


Guess getting my boyfriend the stuff he needs in Sky and Sea will be much easier now. We'll be able to duo pretty much everything. >_>

I just realized this means we can have MORE h2h skill than a MNK at 75. We will have A rank which does not actually exist yet but it will put us somewhere between 276(A+) and 269(A-) with it likely being 272 or 273. Those lucky enough to get Oberon's with 5+ skill will have better h2h skill than a Monk! At least until they rasie the level cap. I am sure that the difference from A to A+ will be larger at 99 than it is at 75 just like it is from 75 to 50 (There is actually no difference between A, A- and A+ until level 61). I think that the difference between A and A+ will need to be very large at 99 to make this balanced for end game which they say is what they are balancing for now.

This also means for all the up and coming pups that they will have the same skill as a mnk until level 61. Even I think that is a bit insane. I guess they still get more martial arts but still.

We'll also get Martial Arts IV trait from MNK sub at level 92.... We'll have to reevaluate the most useful subs, just like every other job will have to with these level cap increases.

But MNK might get Martial Arts VII and VIII before it hits 99 too. I have a feeling MNK is going to hit insanely fast at level 99, and still far outdo PUP even if it uses Oberon's Sainti with H2H skill +10.

Also, keep in mind, Oberon's Sainti at a level 75 weapon. We might have something much better in store for us at level 80, 90, or even 99. Or we can just enhance Oberon's Sainti with a Magian Moogle augment. Time will till.

P.S. Soloing Fafnir is gonna be funny.

well they didnt say anything about giving VE mp iirc but still would be awesome if they did, also if pty members were able to cure we could have a real tank pet... /sigh doubt thats happening.

reason why i doubt well get mp on VE is because the puppet is supposed to be a specific job..... just not as good as the real thing giving VE cure 4 would almost make it full on tank worthy.
