i know its not going to be as big of a game changer as blm/sch, but who leveling what to 49 for this?
personally i am going rdm and sch to 49 befor they raise cap.

99 isnt even going to arrive until December so i'll say its a long way off before you can say anything for certain.
How they tweak JA around is also a big issue.
That said.. /RDM does look the most attractive to me with self refresh, raise, c4, haste and convert. Convert will likely be nerfed (ratio wise), but would still be useful, considering Refresh already exists.
/SCH is probably the next strongest contender, since it gives us basic skill in both black and white, and the newer additions are basically Accession cures/buffs as well as self-casting weather for 5/8 elements for Relic Horn effect / Siphon.
in a SMN burn, you'd definitely want someone as /COR for evoker's roll too, since it adds a fair bit of refresh too..

agreed, imo its SE's last hurrah in this game. Since it will still be a while til FF14 is out and the game is dying out earlier then they'd hope, they are just throwing "stupid" shit in the update that will break the game. Getting to lvl 99 will take quite a bit of time in itself, and by then have fun instead of camping against a single linkshell for an HNM, you will camp against all 18 individual ppl in that ls since even AV might be soloable.
It just cheapens the game, and what of relic holders??? I mean cg on spending years to get a single item only for it to be lol@99 item. Cant wait to sport my lvl 90 GK that i got for 50k off AH and outparse amano's by several thousand damage points.

You're assuming they're adding a lot of new gear to fill the level gap. I actually think that they introduced the new augment line of quests where you PICK the augment you want especially to fix these issues.

People will be able to upgrade their relics through Trial of The Magians n' shit...that gotta help relic holders I guess.
And I think it'll be difficult to replace, say, Excalibur when all-powerful new HNMs will be tougher and the additional effect still has its importance, or Ghorn because it's absurdly gamebreaking, etc...but let's wait and see.

yeah i would imagine they would have some sort of system to account for this. Just outside of the new areas this new cap may cheapen the game after the initial ZOMG GUYS I JUST SOLO'D KIRIN!!! effect wears off.
either way, i can bitch and moan about it til the cows come home, but ill prolly end up taking a couple of my 75's to 99 just to see how it goes. So even im falling victim to SE's ploy to keep players from leaving the game lol.

the kings will probably have their rage timers lowered to 20min, AV will still benediction every 5 seconds and still be unkillable, and relics can be augmented. stop being butt hurt bc you don't want to lvl anymore.

They are going to gimp the subs. If Refresh is available as a Subjob and I don't think it will be, it will be "RDM Main Only" or something stupid like that. It will be gimped to 1MP / tick just like Utsusemi: Ni is gimped to 3 instead of 4 as a sub. Convert will also most likely be RDM Main only. they've gotta keep the balance.

Convert will probly be nerfed, ya. But I doubt anything will change with Refresh. RDM get Refresh at 41, when 3/mp a tick is awesome (500mp players?). At lvl 99 we could have 2k+ mp WHM's and 3k+mp SMN. Having /rdm will be nice for solo and stuff, but I would be very surprised if RDM didnt get a Refresh II (overwrites refresh1, does not stack) and if brd didnt get another ballad.
I mean, even right now SMN can refresh for 4mp/tick. What about at 99? 7 or 8? 3mp a tick from a 99rdm just wont cut it

ATTENTION: CALLING ALL MORONS : read the fine print they said all job abilities job traits and spells according to lvl will be adjusted as they see fit in accordance to keeping the balance of the unique jobs to the game so all pld/rdm omfg i have refresh or DD etc etc keep dreaming or drinking jim jones aka SE kool-aid yer jobs are all useless now and lvl yer subs again LOL no thanx. I believe the thought in this is to prepare for the loss of people who will no longer play this game after the release of 14 and for whatever other reason ppl decide to leave. The events that now take a full alliance will be done with parties of 6 or less now. Allowing ppl to still be able to get the gear they want. It's designed for the people who intend to stay. I don't really think a whole new world with all new mobs and all new gear is going to be the concentration. Yes, there will be updates for the levels. But It would appear that Augments will be the thing of the future, not new gear.

We all know there doing this because the servers are slowly getting quieter ( I even heard there doing some server merging?) you wont need alliances anymore to fight things you once did, imagine going through dynamis with just a party of 6 lol (i knew Id one day get me a relic weapon well hopefully after this the dream will come true
) and they did say the new areas for the AF3 will be made for small teams.
Also! when ffxiv is released think how many people are going to leave ffxi and not return, most of my friends are going to change and not return.
One major thing I am looking forward (or not) whats going to be the limit breaker?! Maat fights? Maat at lvl 100? They could bring some other NPC's in to fight. that would be better I think. the first limit break could be against Maaat where at the end he says how there were people stronger than him in the past where you then go back in time and engage them to increase your cap.

Im not looking forward to taking all my subs another 12 levels, sch wasnt so bad but whm was like watching paint dry thankfully rdm is already 70
