"DRG: Discussing ways to enhance the wyvern’s powers and thinking about creating a new type of “Jump” ability."
Enhanced wyverns? New jump ability? Sounds exciting. Thoughts?

Meh, I'll believe it wen I see it because right now I'm unable to even think of what they could do to make wyverns better. Unless we get a full run of pet commands or something I see my Wyv still taking two rounds of AoE and then dropping. Jumps could be interesting if they are debuffs or something.

I'm probably going to regret this, because I'm starting to wonder if what I heard when the DRG segment came up was what was actually said, or what I hoped they would have said. I remember hearing healing breath, support job and HP, I think.
All I remember is guessing they might have said healing breath regardless of support job (hasn't that been brought up before by the dev team?) or maybe it was about wanting attack breaths to be based on max HP like healing breath. Does anyone know where I can see the stream again? I don't think I'm crazy enough to have imagined them saying those terms.

I remember them talking that as well as reskinning them to different colors or something as well. The reskinning thing is trivial, really, but them having an increase in HP and allowing us to use healing breath outside of mage subs would be a fantastic upgrade to them, but how would triggering the healing breath work? If we're allowed the use of them on something like /SAM, what would trigger it since we have no spells to cast? I'm thinking maybe it'll have an AI that does it automatically possibly but I dunno.. I'd probably still stick to /blu or /whm for soloing purposes.

/RDM with Refresh, Phalanx, Haste, and fast triggers. Stood out for me.

DRG/Mage doesn't need refresh at all (other than from gear/etc, spell useless).
Cocoon >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Phalanx.
Haste is nice.
DRG/Mage doesn't need faster triggers at all.
I think the fact that Sekkanoki is going to become accessible via SAM sub, and the fact that they plan an extra Jump for DRG, makes the fact that DRG should be able to solo Light/Darkness the best news here. Though I'm probably mistaken.

/mage isn't just for solo.
You can pretty much fill DD/healer/support position when the cap is done raising..

If you're being a healer/support then yeah, haste is the only thing you'd need. Like I said, haste is good.
If you need to refresh anyone then I'd assume you don't even need to be support (or possibly healer, anyone who needs refresh would probably be /RDM at this point anyway). Phalanx is still weak compared to Cocoon and DRG still doesn't need strong refresh or fast triggers. I think you'd also get Haste from /BLU for soloing. So really, /RDM would only be useful if you need to Haste/Refresh other people and you shouldn't really need to do that for much.

7:40 - 9:10 is the DRG part. I was wrong about them saying HP, they said damage in the wyvern talk though. I'm not crazy.

Dragoon has a style all its own, but the developers would like to remove the limitation that Healing Breath has in regards to being linked to only certain Support Jobs. However, they first have to consider how strong Healing Breath with each Support Job might be, and in the meantime may consider new breath attack as well. Matsui also commented a new Jump Ability might be in the works.
I pooped a little.
Wonder if DRG/SAM could work as a tank.

Yea no kidding, something like that would be a huge push for soloing on DRG. My hope is that you can set your Wyvern like you set blu spells. and That mage subjobs would be higher gains for Healing breath then melee jobs and to remove that damn multi-purpose function as it's bleh.
