History is about to be made with the increase of the level cap in the March version update and beyond! The increase will take place in stages until the new maximum, level 99, has been reached.

Up until now, character strength has been limited to level 75, and additions to the game such as monsters, strategic content, and equipment had been designed to correspond to this.

However, with the game having reached a certain level of maturity and the bulk of existing notorious monsters having already fallen prey to tenacious bands of adventurers, the development team has deemed that the time is now ripe for the bar to be raised.

Indeed, for myself I finally managed to quit FFXI back in June, and now they put out this kinda update?? x.x

New Job Adjustments??? (Although I doubt they'll do anything to Brd... With the exception of Pianissimo, we haven't gotten jack shit in years... <.<)

It's so bitter sweet. I mean, it's neat to think of the new job combinations and such, but damn... I was just excited for playing games that weren't FFXI lol, and was really looking forward to starting up FFXIV at its launch, but now...

I wanna start playing FFXI again pretty badly now >.< But FFXIV will also probably be out or close to coming out when we can actually reach the lvl 99 cap according to their chart. X.x

yeah, i've been debating paying for my account to get reactivated... but if it means grinding 10 jobs for 24 levels a piece... i dont know if i'll want to do that lol but still..... i'll feel left out if i dont get my jobs to 99... god this is fucking torture, FK U SE

could be worse they could have raised the crafting cap too... then i'd be really fucked.. another expensive goldsmithing grind no thx!
