Here's the full report from Elmer regarding the announcements. There are a few things that the EU/NA teams missed:

Vanafest analysis

Regarding Summoner:

"Summoner surely took home the gold in Tokyo, getting two brand new Avatars as part of its Job Adjustment package! Alexander and Odin, featured in the Treasures of Aht Urghan expansion, will arrive along with the March Version Update. These special Avatars can only be used with Astral Flow active, but contain some powerful abilities. Alexander uses "Perfect Defense," which gives all party members damage reduction and protection against status ailments. Odin has his trademark Zantestuken, which can instantly kill monsters within range. The accuracy of this attack is affected by the Summoner's MP and the amount of enemies in range. Against NMs, Zantetsuken will simply deal damage. As Summoner climbs towards the new Level Cap, all Avatars will be receiving new Blood Pacts."

Nice to have confirmation :)

I just hope all avatars get the 2nd tier of blood pacts of mass destruction AKA lvl 70 blood pacts (predator claws, mountain buster, chaotic strike, etc) I dunno, that'd be sick and sweet. But we can't expect much from SE right?

lol they prolly gonna add some bad ass looking BP but will do crap damage like Shiva's Rush dang that BP looks awesome but very sucky.

does that mean what was displayed at Vana fest with Odin/Alexander were marquee abilities and that they could potentially be able to do other blood pacts?

It's very doubtable. After all. If they swallow all your MP upon summon... what else are you going to do with them? You can't expend any other BPs.

Could always go SMN/RDM and convert your MP back.

Well, its comforting to know there'll be more BPs up there. Hopefully they will be on par with the damage ratio between Lv70 BPs vs current melees.

Also since the level cap is being lifted I hope we'll finally get to see Lv3 skillchainability on 70BPs.. would totally screw the formatting on my existing skillchain chart, but im sure a lot of new WS are likely on the way too...

I wonder which avatar will lead the way with the next tier of dmg pacts. lolShiva?

Or sublimate it. But I'm pretty convinced they're 1 go and gone.

i think they're 1 go and gone too..
but sublimate would be a great option for normal AFs if u so need to use it.

AF -> siphon -> AF -> sublimation -> AF...

bearing in mind that AFBPs by lv99 will cost approx 199mp.
but at the same time 1 fully stored sublimation will far surpass Refresh given that its like 25% of your HP at lv99... and doesn't put you at near death like Convert will probably do.

Don't forget the wonder what will be Refresh II. Also... here's hoping for some new Carby perp reduction. Or that they cap perp at 75. Actually they might as well just give us a trait at 80 that gives carbuncle for free.

Well a few months ago they said that these avatars were going to have less abilities than normal ones but I don't think less means one. They really didn't bother to tell us anything except how their 2hr works and they were in a hurry during Vanafest anyway, lots of amazing things to announce.
Let's just wait for a more detailed note or the update details/testing. 1 BP in each category wouldn't be bad at all imo (Alexander's Rage: Holy Judgement... because you can't have one without the other lol; Ward: Gospel of the Lost/ Odin's Rage could be a piercing attack, Ward a drain kind of move), with both Wards recovering the avatar's HP considering they can only be summoned with Astral Flow.
Also, Astral Flow -may- work differently when these avatars are summoned so if what the French notes say is true (releasing either of them ends AF's effect) it's possible that the effect of Astral Flow will be longer than 3 minutes.
Maybe these avatars have no perpetuation (because AF is always on when they're out) but you're extremely limited to 2 BPs (once the 2hr is gone, they don't use it again). Seems like a fair trade eh? (I know, SE and "make sense" can't stay in the same sentence).

We have to get new BP's on the climb to 99, or at least let the 70 BP's scale as we level.

What I would like to see...

1. Get a sweet Helix spell ?

2. Predator Claws V 2 ?

3. Odin / Alex to get a new BP that doesnt need AF active to use. Just one please !!! I want to use them more than our 2hr.

4. How about a buff Bp that "Enrages" the avatar? The "Enraged" effect would grant the avatar 25% haste, Att, Str, Acc?? That could be cool :D.

If i had to guess what each avatar might get.. i'm guessing..

Celestial 6: Tier 5 nukes (tho tier 5 -ga nukes would be hot), a set of 6 new physical BPs, and a set of 6 new buffs/enfeebles.

or to pull from classic FF for ideas..
Shiva: Mesmerize or Icy Stare - aoe ice dmg + terror.

Carbuncle shd get Healing Ruby 3, Comet and Ruby Light (aoe Reflect, or something to that extent)..
Fenrir: Ecliptic something, Lunar something, lol
Diabolos needs to have Dark Messenger back... maybe AoE dark magic dmg + gravity..

Elemental Spirits would likely get the upper tier too, meaning tier 5 nukes.. (thers no tier 6 in the dats atm)

i can dream cant i lol

I think your asking for a bit much, but I could see some of that being implamented.

know of any youtube vids that show the .dat animations for tier 5 nukes? (i could almost guarantee those will be implamented.)

I definitely want to see Carbuncle and Diabolos get something that deals magical damage on par with the 75BP's that deal dark and light damage. There are not a lot of spells out there that do damage to that element and it would make SMN's better than other jobs in that department. As far as wards go? I wouldn't mind seeing just increased variations of the spells we already have. A stoneskin that absorbs 300 damage like WHM stoneskin does. A blinkga that acts liek Utsusemi instead of blink. Maybe even a hastega II. Giving 5-10% more haste. I'd be fine with that.
