This is taking into account /THF and Sneak Attack for 100% hit, so focusing on nothing but maximum return from Spirit Taker.

If anyone can think of better items let me know.


Well, this guy is all MND and INT. And the Marial Staff is a nice addition. 100tp Bonus. It sucks that the -3 perp on staves is so important, I sure wouldn't mind breaking out a Staff that actually does some damage.

You dont need any perp on a staff if you have the right spirit taker setup. You'll make more MP from spirit taker than you would by just conserving it via perp-.

thanks for that, I honestly havent seen the full math before makes things less confusing and reminds me I need to find out if Love Torque > Sea gorget for WS or not
then again every attempt to get yovra organs has ended in either wipe or me DC

I already listed the better options, but:

Communion Ring: (800k)
Hale Ring is +1 Modifier (100k)
Omega Ring is +1 Modifier (Free)
Aqua Ring is same modifier but +2 Str (750k)

Duck Body/Af+1 Head:
Ixion Cloak is +2 Modifier

Star Earring:
Brutal Earring, see the math above.

Raptor Leather Staff:
While it might beat Pole Strap for WS average, you can't swap it in for WS, and it's silly to TP in anything other than Pole Strap in this scenario.

Tiphia Sting:
Morion Tathlum is +1 modifier
Phantom Tathlum is +2 modifer
Jasper Tathlum is +2 Modifer
*JSE Satchet can also be considered depending on Race.

Enlightened Chain: (80k)
Ajari necklace (5k)

"See the math above"? lol, what a crock. With appropriate gear, you'll land about 40% of the DA procs that occur. Don't mislead people with the "1 in 5" bullshit. 20% =/= 20% of 40%

And you only get ~80% of WSC values at 75, its not as simple as 50% of your MND/INT being converted to base damage. SomethingsomethingPeopleWhoShouldn'tGiveAdviceSomethingsomething.

What are you even talking about?

The MINIMUM accuracy possible in this game is 20%. Known as the accuracy floor.
Looking at a base of 100 Spirit Takers
And then Applying Brutal Earring's 5% Double Attack.
I can assume that 5 Double Attacks will occur out of the 100 I preform.

With me so far?

5 Double attacks, multiplied by the MINIMUM accuracy 20%
5*.2 = 1
1 Out of every 5 Double Attacks that Occur, will land mathematically.

And I haven't mentioned X Modifier = X Damage anywhere.
I challenged you to find an Earring, that will out perform Brutal Earring for Spirit Taker.
I put everything in your advantage. Floored Accuracy, and Minimum Average WS returns.

Find me an earring that will increase WS average (For Summoner's Spirit Taker) by 2Dmg.
If you can't provide one, then I rest my case that Brutal is the superior option.

Simple as that.

Yeah, I've done it multiple times. Both noticeable by WS/MP return, as well as TP return.
