Hopefully the folks who make strategy guides(not just brady) are In the alpha working hard on the guide all now.
I'll be buying 2 guides as I remember my spring 2004 brady guide split In 2 just because I used It alot.
Anyone know If Brady Is working on a guide? And will you buys It?

Yep, and it is to be out of date the day after it comes out.
Didn't the Brady Guide only help you to like, lv.20? They made lv.24 Chainmail sound like hot shit.

the Bradyguide is also partially, if not soley responsible for the 'loldrg' stigma of 2002-2005 with that one little sentence under the Dragoon information page.
"Parties wont specifically need a dragoon"
and since people believe everything they read, and any idiot can make a party, dragoons got screwed. I will admit that the screenshots in the guide were nice to look at before I had a chance to play the game.

No, what hurt DRG was the TP adjustment for WSs.

You guys laugh and joke, but I refuse to go to gamefaqs, and I had the FFXI guide because I was such a loser back then. I didn't know about KI, Alla, etc. It was one of my first online games. I was such a virgin. Now, I know better.

The guides were great for Information on alot of quest.
Yeah...we have K.I. and allah and all dem....but I personally dont wanna have to look up Information when I can have a book right next to me. Yeah..it wont have EVERYTHING I'm sure..but will still have a good bit of Info...especially when starting out...should be good.

I bet even Brady asks why they are making a guide for a MMORPG. Then his friend goes, because people are stupid enough to buy it!
Sorry, they just suck. WoW guides go out after a while and FFXI went out when you hit lv.20.

I'm pretty sure if someone came here looking for honest help they would just be called a troll and shunned away.

When I first got FFXI, I spent the whole drive home reading the manual. While I was installing the game, I must have read the manual like 10 times. Having the guide then would have really kept my impatience at bay~
I'm a sucker for reading printed stuff on that smells-good magazine paper

I'm ashamed to say I'm the same way down to the very last sentence.

Depends on how they ask it. At least it's not RPGWO.

yeah, when im riding the bus home from buying a new game, if i didnt also buy a book, i crack it open to read the guide...then fffuuuuu!!!! because for some reason, they always put the french guide before the english guide...or they put it outside of the box, which is just more annoying
also yes, the guide ended with telling you to go to jeuno...one mildly useful thing, is the back pages had lines going from each area, so you atleast knew what connected to what...

the outside of the box is more annoying, not cuz its outside of the box, but because it ends up not fitting in the game case, im not sure why the fuck the french manual needs the extra centimeter's then the english manual....
