So I installed all the drivers and everythings good except that the control doesnt move anything from FFXI.

I got told that I had to do something on the FFXI config, gamepad settings but I simply cant understand jack shit there.

Are there any videos or guides on how to do this? I'm not a PC geek and dont know much of this so if I could get anyone's assistance for this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

It's not too hard to figure out. Basically you have to configure what each buttons action will do. I'm logged in right now or I'd tell you the exact set up I use that made it so it had the exact controls from the PS2 version, but once you fiddle with that and figure it out, you have to calibrate the joystick controllers in the first menu. When it asks you what direction you'd like to have go up you hold the joystick up and confirm it with the triangle button I believe, or whatever button they tell you to confirm it with, then on to the next direction. Just make sure you're holding it straight in the direction it asks so you don't get your controls all wonky. That'll allow you to use the L3 and R3 buttons to move you and your camera around. I usually keep the X and Y axis controls inverted as well, I think that was standard with XI's configuration for PS2 controls, though. If not it was just something I did so long ago I don't remember. lol But I feel most comfortable with them inverted.

Is your pc in test mode? Cause if it isn't then the ps3 controller won't work. The good thing about the ps3 controller in FFXI is that the rumble works perfectly.

Okay now my control just blinks with all the lights and keeps at it until eventually it turns off.

Is there an exact file that I must download? I run Vista 32bit and the file I downloaded was "Libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.10.1" which also includes the "ps3sixaxis_en" and the "libusb0.dll"

Google Motioninjoy Dualshock 3 Tool
Also you will need to disable driver signing for windows in order for the controller to be fully functional(Believe some of the triggers do not work properly with the default drivers.)

Googled it for you as I remember how much of a pain in the ass this was to figure out.

Disabling driver signing is basically holding F8 while your computer boots for a couple seconds which will bring up a menu when you release the key.
This works with windows vista 32/64 as well as windows 7, I have tested it on both. I didn't bother with the configuration tool that they included, just installed the driver, restarted my computer and ran Motioninjoy and everything worked.

Yes the motionjoy drivers are what you are looking for, and since you are only running 32bit vista you wont need to disable driver signing, thats only for 64bit systems. I need to get a longer usb cord so i dont have to sit so close to the pc lol.
