At the following time, we will be performing FINAL FANTASY XI maintenance on all worlds to accompany the version update and implementation of a World Merge. Along with this maintenance, we will also be performing maintenance on the FINAL FANTASY XI Linkshell Community beta version.

During this period, both FINAL FANTASY XI and the FINAL FANTASY XI Linkshell Community beta version will be unavailable.

* This maintenance will be accompanied by a version update. After maintenance is complete, the update will automatically begin after you press the "Play" button. After that, please follow the instructions on the screen.

* You may receive errors such as "POL-1160" or "POL-0010" during the download process due to heavy server traffic. If you are unable to access the update, we ask that you please wait a while and then try again.

* During this maintenance, a World Merge will be implemented.

* the World Transfer Service, which is currently suspended, will reinstate service after the completion of registration server maintenance, which is scheduled to take place following the FINAL FANTASY XI maintenance. For more details, please refer to "Registration Server Maintenance (Mar. 22)."

* The schedule for the reinstatement of the Character Reactivation Service, which is currently suspended, will be announced at another time.

* Update details will be available on Mar. 22, 2010.

I'm kinda sad to see Garuda go. Garuda is one of the Avatars in FFXI! ;_; They should have put Lakshmi on Garuda instead. :/

Yes. Unless they have a website for the ls, then some people may never find each of their friends again if they have to change name. That is the saddest part...

if you have a friend on a server that is moved, their new name will appear.

As long as the friend is on your friendlist, you'll still have them. If you haven't noticed, your friend list divides one person into two groups: Their account name/the name you befriended them with, typos and all should there be any, and the name of their current character. Worst case scenario it will just like like your buddy is on an alt.

So since the the World Transfer Service is currently suspended...

If your name is taken by someone else on the destination server, and instead you would like to switch to a server where no one is currently using your name (after the merge, since it doesn't look like you can do it before now)...would you be able to do that without first having to log on to your current one and thus having to change your name? It's been a long ass time since I knew how this works.

Sloppy, SE, sloppy. Forcing a server merge they damn well BETTER find a way to make the AH and delivery box systems mesh together.

In before 20 threads about "I lost 10 million gili cuz of the merge! SE suxxx!!!!" because they didn't read the Notification or missed that bit.

well, my account was hijacked so I'm currently sitting on 100,000gil. All of which is going to blu af. Lv48, no accessories, lv30 centurion armor set(bought with cp), and the combat caster scimitar...

It'd be great if all that lost Gil gets transfered to my account... I feel so Gimp without gear swapping macros.

I would feel equally as bad for the people who haven't been on much lately to see these notices and take advantage of the infinite storage of d.boxing yourself items continuously. All those mules worth of items lost~
