Ha, Cowboy Curtis. But then again the same can be said for Carl Weathers and Arnold, if you watch Happy Gilmore and Kindergarten cop. Weathers loses his hand to an alligator and Arnold struggles with 6 year olds. And let's not forget the holiday classic, "Jingle all the way", where Arnold battles tough holiday shopping crowds!

Happy Gilmore, Kindergarten Cop, and Jingle all the way seemed better than this trailor....

I feel like some explanation on the story is required. The people that were kidnapped by the Predators aren't facing an entire planet of Predators, they're facing three. The problem is they're an advanced species of Predator that the script deemed "Super Predators" (kinda lame I know). One of the Super Predators is the mastermind behind kidnapping specific people to use as prey where they don't have to worry about any outside influences. The shot of the multiple lasers on one of the guys is probably a shot of the movie either near the end or under some other condition where other Predators have gathered (if there really was that many Predators hunting, the guy wouldn't have had the time to stare at the multiple laser sights before he'd be dead), but as far as the script stated, the humans are "only" going up against three.

The people themselves are all proven combatants from around the world, hence the reason the Predators kidnapped them specifically to go up against because in their view, they represent the most worthy prey among the human population. Lawrence Fishburne is a survivor the others come across, who was placed on the planet previously. This is also why he knows who the Predators are since he had been on the planet for some time.

Honestly I'm really excited for this movie. It's not much different than the premise of the first Predator but Rodriguez stated the he had no intention of trying to emulate the first Predator because in his words, "You can't really compete with Arnold". He says there's alot more focus on the characters themselves and that each is a badass in their own way and could easily be the main star of the movie. I hope he delivers on this movie but I do have high hopes for it.
