Looking at the magian quests, and see a pair of claws with these stats in the end: DMG+18, Delay+61, DEX+4 and Acc+8.
Another reward is DMG+18 Delay+671, STR+4 and Attack+12 I believe.
DMG+18 Delay+61 AGI+4 Evasion+12
A sainti looking weapon with DMG+21 and Delay+55

Edit: Haven't completed it yet, just looking at the current paths you can take to see the end result. Most of the quests are kill a certain family of mobs that yield exp with certain day and weather conditions.

I haven't even bothered looking at the relic or mythic. Went to try for the new NMs and got Stonega IIIed by a Eearth element in Batallia Downs. It wasn't instant cast, but was definately fast casted. I only got off one attack round between his quakes too.

All I've spawned so far is Elementals that hit like trucks. 150+ on regular hits non-Counterstanced. They have insane accuracy, and some form of Fast Cast. Guess I'll try zones besides ones right outside of Jeuno now.

I was browsing through the available trials for Pugilists and came across these;

Edit: Posted wrong SS  Ill repost when I can find the correct one.

For non-Spharai owners;

Im guessing future trials for this path might remove the added delay on these, would be interesting.

Wow... these look hot.. Think the added damage can compensate the lack of crit from Destroyers, and the slightly higher delay? Anybody cares to do math about it?

That's A LOT of delay, and -1 compared to Destroyers.
That "Occationally attack twice" would surely need to proc with a VERY high rate to be able to compensate that huge delay. Don't think these will be a viable option with that +delay.

What path is it for that Mantis?
(Nvm, 68.69.70.71.72.73.74.75)

Hmmm...what to do first...

Those mantis weapons should more or less destroy destroyers.

Sup guys. I've only had 2 hours after maint to try out update stuff and then was straight to work for me.

I wanted ask how exactly are these weapons/enhancements available? What are the quests like etc..

the 21 dmg h2h probably wont outdo destroyers or are side grade at best. I remember awhile back some one doing shenlong #s compared to destroyers and it was shown that the dps where pretty much same, but it was the acc, str, and DA that really pushed shens ahead. And that also is 4 delay lower then these.

You talk to the new moogle in Ru'Lude and he'll tell you all about it. But you basically just do some stupid quests killing multiple NMs or regular mobs and return back to him.

Assuming wargfangs are 45-50% proc rate like joyeuse.

440 delay 17 dmg

Comparing w/ faiths (our best non relic non shenlongs wep) +9 dmg, 413 delay.

Assuming 5 fstr and capped h2h merits, 58 DMG vs 64 DMG

58/64 = faiths deal 90.625% of the damage per strike as Wargfangs.

1/(413/440) = 6.54% faster

.90625 x 1.0654 = 96.55% of the damage of faith baghs and frees up an ammo slot.

That was just the general math though, occasionally attacks twice does not stack w/ double attack, where as stone procs do.

For regularly geared players, the two are about even, but you don't have to farm stones.

However, for a full usu mnk, it will take wargfangs an average of 1 attack round less to get to 100 tp, which makes wargfangs the clear cut winner.

Reworking the math, we'll go by average dmg/attack round.

Our base is 2 attacks per round (that can be effected by stones or DA, so kicks excluded for a min)
2 x 1.5 = 3 attacks per round 1 extra attack per round
2 x 1.15 = 2.3 attacks per round, .3 extra attacks per round.
Since Faiths and /war brutal doesn't interfere w/ each other, we get 1 extra attack per round from faiths and .3 from DA = 3.3 attacks per round.

Wargfangs DA can only proc on 50% of the attacks since they can't stack at the same time as Wargfangs which have an assumed 50% proc rate here.
2 x 1.5 = 3 attacks 1 extra attack per round.
2 x 1.15 = 2.3 attacks .3 extra attacks per round, that can only proc 50% of the time = .15 extra attacks on average per round.
Wargfangs and /war will get 3.15 attacks per round

3.3 x 58 = 191.4 average dmg/round
3.15 x 64 = 201.6 average dmg/round
191.4/201.6 =94.94% of the damage

.9494 x 1.0654 = 1.1% increase favor of faith, but the fact that it frees up ammo slot easily makes up for that.

For an average geared player, they're roughly equivalent w/o having to farm stones

However, for a full usu player, Wargfangs will get TP an average of 1 attack round quicker, making them the clear cut winner.

So are you saying these are worth our time to get?

If you don't have Faiths or hate farming stones for them, yeah.

Edit: I'm assuming that the +21 dmg H2H weren't even a comparison Veg? I was curious about those as well.

Sidegrade minimum, slight increase maximum as compared to destroyers. Inferior to both faiths and warg

Good to know.

Get on AIM so I can ask you about other ones, because I was debating on which to pursue off the bat.

I was going to do the Occ. attacks twice H2H, but figured I might as well work towards Spharai instead... so I picked up the GKT and started doing those I guess.
