Gun is now outdated by Mayhem with +8 MAttack augment, but not by much. If you wanna upgrade this weapon to it's Empyrean form, it'll be better then.

I just got the base Magnatus last week and the Armageddon seems the best gun now for COR (plus it looks like some kind of laser rifle).

Well it requires 50 Carabosse's Gems, which I don't think will be that easy to get since they're EX, and you need to get 2 key items from other NMs to pop this one, and Carabosse doesn't look too easy either. http://wiki.ffxiclop.../wiki/Carabosse

I am sure they are going to change this because as it currently stands, getting Armageddon will be impossible.

I finished my Tammuz with a group of people same day as patch, I took the next trial not knowing what it was yet.

Carabosse's Gems

Carabosse is a Pixie NM in Abyssea La Thine.

This NM takes 2 Key Items to pop.

These 2 Key Items have a chance to drop from 2 pop NM's close by, a Pixie and Fly.

This NM is a fucking bitch to kill.

This NM only drops 2~ Gems per kill (only basing this of people who have posted SS's of kill).

You will have to complete with people trying to complete Masamune.


When it comes down to it, this entire system just got stupid as fuck. Not only do you have extremely limited time in Abyssea it is requiring you to kill a MINIMUM of 25 of these assholes in order to complete you gun. You also have to have a full Alliance to kill, this is going to require you to get 17 other people dedicated to just helping you with absolutely nothing in return, actually in fact hurting there own character progression. Many of you may have noticed how almost EVERY NM in the zone drops something someone wants.

Keep in mind when you think "Oh this is an amazing weapon, comparable to relic, blah blah blah" that this is only the first stage of whatever this gun turns into. Next trial will most likley be something else completely ridiculous.

As the current system stands, I label these weapons impossible to obtain.

With making a relic, at least people can get Relic Armor, currency can also be sold traded. (reward for the rich?)

Mythic weapons are pretty much 100% on you as in nothing required people to dedicate themselves to helping you. (reward for the dedicated/rich?)

Empyrean weapons, only one of the most selfish manipulative fucks will own one of these weapons. (reward for those who take advantage of others?)

This system needs to be changed.

at level 85+, do you see COR using WS on HNMs (old and/or new)?
