Ok so after playing around with the trial numbers and noticing a pattern.. etc etc... I think these seem to be the staff trials that would have the greatest affect on Summoner.

Base Teiwaz Staff Stats:
DMG: 41
Delay: 366

Stat Based Boosts
Note: These also all include DMG+20 Delay-10 to your attacks (not your avatars) and a third boost, usually +4 to a Stat or for 883 MP+50.
797: Pet Attack +15
809: Pet Evasion +15
821: Pet Accuracy +12
833: Pet Magic Evasion +12
847: Pet Magic Attack +7
859: Pet Physical Damage -7%
871: Pet Magic Def +7
883: Pet Magic Accuracy +12

-4 Perp Based on the below Affinity
(Affinity I'm assuming means avatar of matching element, but maybe someone else can explain that better to me?)
Note: These also all include DMG+4 to your attack (not your pet)
801: Fire Affinity
813: Wind Affinity
825: Lightning
837: Light
851: Ice
863: Earth
875: Water
887: Dark

If this is posted elsewhere / extremely obvious {Please Forgive Me!}

Overall seems pretty decent, question is which one to go with...

I'm curious about the elemental affinity thing. I wonder if it means for a particular element only, or under that element's weather conditions..

I'm 95% sure it means anything that relates to that element.

The problem is... it's not worth trying to replace the elemental staves largely because you're going to have a massive problem with macros... on top of the huge amounts of time consumption it would take. Having 8 Teiwaz isn't practical.

Nope thats why get the one that you use the most and then be happy with -3 for the other avatars.

Agreed that the -4 aren't really worth going for. The stat boosts for the avatars makes a bit more sense to me. I could see having a few in your Mog Satchel for various situations. Right now I'm thinking of going for the MAB+7 to replace my Fay Crozier, then maybe something like the physical damage reduction if I ever need to have my avatar tank.

You can't have 8 of these in your inventory. Once these weapons start getting augments, they become EX.

Um isn't EX just meaning you can't trade? It's Rare items you can only have 1 of... my Fay Crozier's are Aug/EX, and I got 2 of em.

Even without being Rare... they will all have the same name, so have fun swapping them by hand! Seems like they are really wanting you to pick 1, similar to Fay.

Modifying this post, upon closer inspection this actually appears doable:

I finished Trial 790, wasn't too bad. My goal is Trial 847, Pet MAB+7. To get there you have to complete Trial 846 (amongst others). Trial 846 is:

Defeat a set number of experience-yielding monsters under the prescribed weather conditions, or on the corresponding day of the week.
100 Bird-Type Creatures
Weather/Day: Ice

So looking at this it appears like I have the choice between weather or day of the week, I don't actually have to kill birds in a zone with both iceday and ice weather, correct? Cuz that would be just depressing to find a zone that would match those requirements.

For 841? Just starting it now. I think Pashhow Marshlands [S] is the best bet. Found a couple at L-7, right now just waiting for Water weather to kick in.

If anyone knows somewhere better I'm all ears..

btw for 790 Grauberg [S] seems to be your best bet. Solo'ed about half, other half was with groups of various sizes.

I spend 6 hrs in Pashow (s) yesterday. Only rained twice in that 6 hours and only lasted long enough for me to get 3 kills. I may just quit it. that's just not worth it.

We were killing leaches in Pashow {S} for a friend of mind doing a sword trial for his blue. There was all kinds of weather for him, but he wasn't limited to just water... Thunder weather happens quite often there, unlike Pashow Present. where it rains all the damn time.

Caedarva Mire sucked too... spent quite a few hours waiting on nothing, few times dark weather popped it was gone within 30 seconds. only place haven't tried is Aydeewa Subterrane, anyone have luck there?

Just about given up on this for now.
