Alright... My group got creamed. Any tips? Group is 5 SMNs and a RDM. We were fine till Alex started moving. Then the Images kept going after we the SMNs. That and We kept hitting for 0 due to Perfect Defense. Any times? I can do it on another job, but some of my friends don't have such luck. Could someone give me a good run down of the fight with suggestions?

Also... Which Avatar, because Garuda kept sucking it down to 100ish... Should I get them to do Leviathan? I used Fenrir a few times to do Lunar Roar. We made it to 35%, and then wiped due to lack of control over Images.

**Edit I went in with War Mnk Smn Ranger Drk, and won in less than 1 min, have smn full buffs and PD on party and win.

Doesn't matter. We got it with a Summoner Burn. It was epically exciting. Like I said in the OP though... Some of my friends only had the job summoner, so a melee burn wasn't an option for them. I wasn't concerned about me.

summoner burn is hard, you need to have a rdm/nin or something to kite the adds. I had a resection setup for a SMN burn on it and it went kinda bad because of the adds.

If you keep mp up use pret claws, mine where doing 500-700. some say use dio because of astral flavor helps keep mp up better and his move is less mp but does around 500 ish max?

I guess it depends on your merits and gear but i have 306 smn magicc with phy attack merits.

how did you get your smn burn to work?

the melee setup i did, me as war with a drg, sam, 2 brd and a smn killed it in 45 seconds. i did med when i entered > used tp first time > mighty > ws > ws and it was dead. I was kinda shocked how fast i got tp but then again i do not play melee much.
I did not see perfect defence go up or the big aoe it did like i saw on SMN, i guess it was from fast killing it.

with melee you do not really need a cure, all the smn did was hastaga and attack bp i guess i didnt really see lol ><

2 SMN/SCH 3 SMN/WHM 1RDM/NIN. We decided 2 of us would Odin, but at different times. Only I ended up going. We buffed, and started just before the 10 minute warning. After the 1st round of PCs I popped Odin for 2202, then went and rested and popped an Elixir and a Siphon. He was under 80% by that time. I got back to 700 MP and got back in on the fight, and our RDM started kiting images. They kept going after Summoners And so the RDM would C4 us on a pass to get hate back. 2 of us took a Judgement, and but by that point we had it securely in the bag.

what bps did you use after odin? wudl you recomd pred claws or diabolos thingy? my pred claws did 500-700 but someone said to use dia because of less mp

Oh. We all used Predator Claws. The 2 out of 4 on the 1st round crapped out at about 150ish, but everything else landed for 500-800. One of mine ended up doing 1000, but that was the only one the whole time.

Our 1st failed attempt I tried using Fenrir some and doing Lunar Roar to remove Protect, I didn't see how much EB did,
