Doing 2 atm lol.
I started with the Punisher (DMG 46,Delay 312 Occ. attk. twice) killed 3 times the three nms, then 400 lizs and then 300 puks.
And now the pain begins 'cause of the T3 vnm and the blobthings it drops ._.
I doubt il'' ever finish it

And now im on Skeggiold...i'll follow the DMG 49 Delay 276 STR +4 Attck+13 path

Yeah I was looking at some of those vnm's...they don't look like very much fun. Wonder how many bsts it would take to kill one... anyone kill one yet? Any advice?

I'm going for the Punisher with the double attack. Slowly making it through the easy nm sections. I'm glad that SE made it so that you can kill these nm's in a pt though. I've actually become friends with some other bsts because of that.

Actually, you can choose between 2 kind of Punisher.
The hardest one is the better one due of the high dmg (46)
But if you know you'll never get the chance to kill the vnm,you can follow the path that ends with another kind of punisher, still OAT,but very low dmg.

I'm also interested in the multi-hit Punisher with high DMG.
Not too keen on collecting the pet axes, I rarely find a use for strictly using charmed pets, and I'm unwilling to use pet gear over my TP set.
Bonebiter with DMG+6 is nice, but I'll be aiming for something similar soon.

Serious BSTs like those in MI will find plenty of use for pet axes and pet stat gear overall. There are tons of times when you just throw pets on and can't melee on the harder stuff.

It all depends on how you use your bst.
Considering that im not in a pet ls and everything i do is with "common jobs",high dmg axes and oat axes are my priority.
I rarely use pets like main dds or main tanks so,as long as it goes this way,ill skip all pet stats weapons/armors.

It's rather insulting if you believe a hardcore BST may only be found in pet linkshells. I've probably spent just as much, if not more, time improving my BST as you people have, and I've gone out and applied the gear to smash things like Koenigstiger (RNG AF3) solo with jug pets. It's true I cannot kill everything on my own, but if I can kill it via charmed pets, I don't see a reason to carry every piece of pet gear to improve my pet when I can send a few more pets at my foe instead.

there is no "true" bst, its simply a loose system of tenure we have.

there are rites of passage that all bsts should take part, like boyahda and crawlers nest, ancient goobbue and soloing despot.

but true bsts are a fleeting memory, because nobody these days can level as fun as we did in the past

I wasn't trying to insult you or insinuate that you have to be in a pet LS to be a "serious BST", I was just talking about how often cases arise when you're in a group like that where you simply can not melee and all you're doing is sending in pets. Meant stuff like Jormy that MI has taken down a lot. If you were to melee on that, you'd be dead within seconds.

Skeggiold
AugmentExclusive

(Axe) All Races
DMG:37 Delay:280
DMG:+12 Delay:-4 VIT+4
Pet:Phys.dmg.taken-5%
Lv. 75 WAR/BST

and

Skeggiold
AugmentExclusive

(Axe) All Races
DMG:37 Delay:280
DMG:+13
Add.eff.: Impairs evasion+10
Lv. 75 WAR/BST

Those are the two I'm looking at. The pet -phy damage taken for when I'm not meleeing with pet (stacked with some other pet -phy damage gear I hope to get). The impair evasion for meleeing with pet - that's acc for me and pet and any others I'm with! I think I saw somewhere that the add.eff. % is pretty good.

Atm im TRYING to do the last trial (301) to get skeggiold with high dmg,str and attack on it,but it's pretty hard ._.
You have to kill 200 Apkallu and,if as bst we're lucky enough cause there is a perfect camp in Mount Zhayolm with leeches and mountain clots around L-6,apkallus are evil.
Their race build hate like tomberries and fomors but,as long as i know, there isn't a way to let it down,so all you have to do is waiting (wiki says long time lol)
Took me 3 minutes more or less to kill the first Apkallu.......and 16 minutes to kill the 13th one.
My dmg went from 50-60 per hit, to 10-20,pet dmg 60-80 to 30-40.
This trial is a pain.
And of course, you have to wait firesday before starting to kill those damn birds.
Happy hunting :D
