"First on the agenda is a strengthening of pets, allowing them to be called for longer periods of time and giving them their own unique abilities.
We also plan on expanding beastmasters' tactical repertoire with abilities that allow them to manage enmity by transferring their own enmity to their pets, and some fresh additions to the roster of charmable monsters.

Sea mobs, maybe? B)

Also, I wonder if they're just going to introduce a whole new slew of jugpets entirely, or if our currently "uncapped" jugs will raise in level with us (like Lars and Carrie being bumped up as we are).

And you know what I want for a jug? A motherfucking bee. That shit could be even more deadly than 1000 needles for a zerg situation. Final Sting@100% HP with several thousand HP sounds delicious.

A boy can dream. :(
A big group of BSTs could be the new top zerg team. Suicide bombers, fuck yeah.

The Chopper Axe can be augmented, by Trial of the Magians, into a Skeggiold Axe with +12 atk&r.atk, +8 acc&r.acc, or -5% physical dmg taken.

Best of all, they're Ex, so they can be dual wielded for double or mixed bonuses.

I wonder what SE means when it talks about giving bsts an ability to transfer enmity...don't we already have that? You guys think that one day Snarl will apply to charmeable mobs as well as jug pets? I also remember SE talking about giving bsts some sort of ability that would exploit the strengths one animal family would have over another. And "Giving them their own unique abilities?" What does this mean? Something other than their sic moves? Man..I'm so curious now..

As far as jug pets go..peistes prz. Or wyverns...

No level cap increase is complete without an accompanying arsenal of new job abilities, traits, and magic spells. Come the June version update, adventurers will find themselves empowered with myriad new ways to smite enemies and support comrades in battle. As the icing on this scrumptious cake of additions, performance-enhancing tweaks are also being whipped up for certain existing job abilities.

The following adjustments will be made to existing job abilities:
- Beastmasters will be able to invoke the aid of six new creatures via the "Call Beast" ability by using the following items:
Cunning Brain Broth / Lucky Carrot Broth / Deepbed Soil / Wool Grease / Vermihumus / Dancing Herbal Broth

The following job traits will be added:
*The jobs column indicates the level at which the trait will first be learned. The degree of mastery will increase in stages thereafter.

Fencer
WAR Lv.45 BST Lv.80
Increases rate of critical hits when wielding with the main hand only. Grants a TP bonus to weapon skills.

Resist Amnesia
BST Lv.15 COR Lv.30 PUP Lv.15
Gives you a slight resistance against amnesia.

Stout Servant
BST Lv.78 PUP Lv.78
Reduces damage taken by pet.

Coeurl, Rabbit, Fungar, Lamb, Eft?

I wanted to know what kind of NEW mobs we'll be able to charm

Didn't we have most of those jugs already? I think the Coeurl is the only new one, at least it seems. I do really like that you can use a Fungar up in the higher levels now, that will be pretty helpful.

I think we got screwed. Fencer is pretty good, too bad we get it at level 80. And Resist Amnesia is pretty helpful, but there aren't a whole lot of mobs that can inflict Amnesia.

I was really hoping to see some more beneficial additions that would hopefully allow BSTs to get into the end game content, instead of constantly being neglected and bagged on.

Lessee..what is the eft jug? I was thinking it was Coeurl, Rabbit, Funguar, Mandie, Sheep, and then whatever wool grease is. Herbal Broth is sheep right? You know..it IS quite thrilling. I don't think that 2 rabbit jugs was enough. I'm only disappointed they aren't adding 2 more. Although with a name like wool grease, it seems we have a potential for 2 new SHEEP jugs!!! I'm so EXCITED!! -_- (insert sarcasm bell)

You guys are so ungrateful. You don't even know how these new jugs will turn out yet. All I can say is we got a better deal than RDM, which got almost completely overlooked in this update.

They ignored the job that is capable of soloing NMs that no other job can solo? One of the most useful, flexible, and versatile jobs in game? The only job that can arguably main heal, enfeeble, and tank efficiently? Travesty..

I'm excited about this. Lots of people in MI have some really nice pet def sets and this'll help even more (hopefully).

I totally agree. Especially with the new magian axes with pet dmg -5%. Duo Wield those plus a shepherds chain and the anwig salade and that gives us the potential for pet dmg -22%. I wonder if there's a cap on this like there is with haste. But if there isn't...man...good times.
