If not you, someone else probably did.

SE is pretty serious about info not getting leaked. And I can't blame them.

I'm glad the Alpha has started though, that means things are on track for a December release.

Yeah, apparently a lot of others did too.

Hope they press charges against him, would be epic. They could ruin him for life with civil charges, worse than a divorce! Then everyone who was like LOLNDA would promptly shut up.

Would never happen. Although it sounds like it'd be cool, would never happen. Without all these losers violating the NDA though, we wouldn't have as much information as we do so far lol. So I guess their sacrifice has some value to it. Ironic how so many people though come here to say "Oh, they violated NDA, yadda yadda" when they're probably searching all day for leaked tidbits of information.

I can honestly say the only things I've seen since the Alpha started is the Famitsu page -- which as part of a publish magazine was probably authorized by Square-Enix.

Otherwise, I don't care too much about the information that comes out -- why? Because a lot of it is going to be different when the game comes out. One of the main reasons they don't want people spouting about it is that most of it will get changed and they have enough problems without dealing with rabid fanboys complaining about losing things they shouldn't have known about in the first place. The alpha, in my opinion, is pretty much just a big playable box of rumors and I'd rather not have anything to do with it the complaining and whining the info we're getting is going to cause.

Meantime, I -can- say again that just the fact that the Alpha has started has me happy. Few months until Beta, and then release in December!

Illegal downloading and violating a contract you agreed to are completely different things.

Contract is a legal document, if you sign/agree to it, you're supposed to follow it, else you don't sign it.

I'd also rather not have too much info leaked because I'd like a lot of the game to be a huge surprise for me. I love the sense of not knowing a damn thing and learning how things work on my own rather than being told or shown everything ahead of time.

Glad some people have some common sense about leaked info. I haven't seen a lot but sure enough I have seen bitching about the contents of the alpha, acting like everything in the alpha will somehow be in the final version.

Well for one, like said, most of it isn't even gonna be in the game.
And for two, I bet most of everyone single person who plays FFXI right now has at some point of their life looked for leaked info to see what this game is going to be about. And for the people talking about it being a spoiler, I bet that didn't stop you from watching the vid when it was on =p

Or they won't bring up the fact that they post in almost every thread containing any new FFXIV information lol. They really sound like people trying to convince themselves the alpha isn't something to get so excited about (possibly didn't get invited or w/e) but I digress.
