pvp is all about reacting, and listening to people talk about this like there is no pvp in ff11, its like everyone forgot about Ballista! Oh, its because the mass majority of players dont even know it exists

Shugotenshi (of Odin), Approves of PvP (Ballista) in Final Fantasy XIV. A lot has already been said, I don't have much to add in.

I'm all up for balance of classes, but how broke some classes were also added to how fun Ballista was. Though I hope they keep how broken each class are to a minimal heh It's hard to balance classes when there are two seperate types of battles, the Official Team vs Team, and the player's choice of 1v1. You'd need classes to be somewhat broken in Teams to deal with a number of opponents at once, while you'd want somewhat balance so you'd have 1v1's without one class completely dominating another. Balance doesn't have to be 5-5, just no more than 6-4 heh

I've heard of an arena in Limsa.. that may be meant perhaps for PvP..?

Ul'dah, not Limsa. And as part of the introduction quest you fight a NPC in the Colosseum.

Well.. at least there is something in Limsa that looks like an auction house though.. judging by the sign...
