Well judging from all the replies, apparently people don't care.

Bastok's ending missions look neat, I just wish I had the will to play this game again.

Probably because we knew about this at least 3 months ago.

Even if this happens (which I assume it will, and hopefully it'll be some other piece than a ring...) it will be at the end of the actual missions, we may get some nice trinket for finishing the quests but nothing like the end story token.

As for how people feel about this news...anyone still playing and paying attention to the updates pretty much had this figured out, I know I did. Am I stoked that I finally get to find out what happens at the end of the Bastok story quest line? You betcha! Will I go through other nation's story quests after I'm done with Bastok's, for sure! However, the actual update note about it being implemented isn't exactly an enthralling bit of news, I'd rather have SE spend more time placing pertinent details on the new add-on's than something we all knew was around the corner.

It may be great for telling multiple stories, but for practical reasons I think making three separate quest lines was a bad idea... With the shrinking player base it's really hard to find anyone who wants do the quest you're on.

That's why they're increasing the level cap to 99.

Agreed, I can understand teamwork for an online game, ut for storylines? Come the f*ck on.... it's not like any of the rewards are some ground breaking item that everyone will fap over. Heck even ToAU's ring rewards were somewhat laughable compared to Zilart/CoP/AN's

Agreed also, FFXI could have been a lot more convenient if they made a que'ing system, like WoW (thats right I said it!). But maybe lv.99 will make those events solo'able. I'm sure if FFXI made a more convenient party system, I am sure it would net some people back in.

But I may cap out my character for the hell of it, don't have much going on in WoW at the moment besides ICC.

I haven't touched any WotG missions in forever. At first I wasn't too excited about the level cap myself, however it can change how we play the game altogether. Although Doing Ultima with at least 6 people doesn't sound as fun as 18 people running from Citadel Buster.

I think it will make the game more interesting. At first there will be a lot of competition and such to get to 99 or solo a lot of the oldies but eventually it will even out with new content. Let's be honest though, how many FF's were there that when you got to the end game it was still extremely hard. I am not saying this game should be made extremely easy but eventually when you hit 99 in almost any FF game a lot of things become a joke and you beat the game basically lol.

I don't think there's an issue witht he party system as it was with how SE made mobs since ToAU. It's pretty much colibri only from 37 to 75.
