It costs more than arhats gi+1, scorpion harness, and haubergeon combined. Using those 3 pieces in the proper situation would make you a significantly better tank.

It's not about needing it. If you take 9% less damage throughout the course of a fight, your mages have to waste 9% less mp on healing. If you're using an earth/terras staff, then osode won't help you. If you're using katanas, osode, and seriously have never died because of it ... try fighting byakko, khimaira, tyger, tiamat, anything with real physical damage.

8 years later? I soloed Voluptuous Vivian and Fenrir in 2005. I did Charybdis in 2006, before /DNC existed. I was first for many of these solos.. if people choose to still think I'm bad at ninja they're more than welcome to step it up and solo something I haven't already.

There are limitations to blink ability. You cannot always have 3 shadows up, even with 80% evasion rate, elegy, and slow on Byakko for instance. If a triple attack lands with less than 3 shadows up, you're getting hit. If a claw cyclone lands with less than 3 shadows up, you're getting hit. If both happen back to back and you're not wearing damage- gear, you're eating dirt. This is nothing 'skill' can prevent, as shadows are limited by recasts and casting times. Tiamat's mighty strikes, Khim/Tyger's Tourbillion, etc are similar cases. You can tank 90% of the game without a bodypiece, the 10% that matters is where you're going to want arhat's.

I see no reason to address anything else you've said as it's nothing more than ethugging and jealousy. You can say I'm lying, you can make outlandish claims, but you can't prove either. People in my linkshell watched my VV solo, screenshots are floating around of Charybdis/Fenrir, and I have the Big Bomb ones as it was the most recent.
