Hey all,

First off, I know there are several "I'm coming back threads" and I looked through most of them and didn't really get the answer I was looking for. Anyway, the last I played FF was late 2004, when myself and most of my linkshell went to WoW. I recently started to show interest again in the game when several of my guildmates mentioned they played, and were looking back into the game. As most of you might know, WoW is stagnant right now and people are looking for a new game to play around with.

My questions are:

-I would be rerolling with 2 of my friends, maybe more. Has FF become more forgiving to LFG? I remember sitting for hours with no luck with the system, and wasn't sure if they changed it around. I read the level sync feature and it seems awesome.

-Is leveling more complex now? I really enjoyed the system of being less forgiving than wow and punishing players for doing stupid things ?

-and finally, is it too late to get back into the groove? I haven't touched the game in little over 5 years, and really have no idea about the new classes, expansions, etc. Seems like the game is pretty far along as progression goes.

If you'll have 2 friends levelling with you, you won't need any others unless you're looking for uber xp chains. With changes to the game, it's even possible to solo 1-75 nowadays. Between the Fields of Valor bonuses, Dancer job/subjob, and the changes to signet, 3 people should do fine.

There's about to be a level cap increase, which along with them removing level cap restrictions from CoP mission BCNMs should make catching up on old content easier.

Yes and no. While Level Sync allows you to sync down to a PT member there's a few flaws with it. Such as...

1. You will have to take time out of your playtime to skill up your magic/weapons.
2. People pretty much only sync on colibri in East Ron. [S], and AU areas
3. Some jobs will be shafted and hardly get invites.
4. Some gear will be 100% worthless under sync. And if your armor has an atribute penality on it (Like Koenig hurting your DEX and STR) you'll recieve the full effect of the penality.

Nope, just do some research on your job and don't be lazy/screw up.
