Assistance with Compromised Account

Hello. As the title states, my account has somehow been hacked. I need to know where I can get further assistance with this. I tried navigating through the SquareEnix support system, but I keep getting lost and every time they try to direct me to the next link, it doesn't give me the answer I want. I also submitted a chat inquiry.

At the same time, I'm wondering how getting into my account is even possible, seeing as I play on PS2 and no way in anytime did I put any information from my Playonline account onto a PC or shared it with anyone (I don't know anyone that also plays FFXI). I'm very frustrated right now as I search for a possible direct contact to customer support and even worse because they're closed on Memorial Day. I am wondering if it was possible for in-game GMs to help resolve this issue.

Also, I play on the Asura server (hence why I am asking here), so I was wondering if anyone could possibly see who is in control of my character (Mirazu)? I know that probably won't do anything, but this is absolutely appalling and they're killing me right now. It's even more frustrating when I see on FFXI.AH that they're selling absolutely everything I have. (Btw, is FFXI.AH considered a safe site? The only time I ever use it is to check if my stuff sold and I don't have an account there or anything).

Thanks for your support. I really hope I can get a hold of my account back asap.

If you have the MSN/AIM/etc. or phone number of somebody you play with online, call them and have them ask a GM to lock your account. You'll have to give them some basic information about your character but other than that they will lock it with no questions asked. It's best to just do that to prevent further damage and call SE Tuesday about getting your account password changed and/or getting your account rolled back. Other than what I mentioned, I don't know of another way to contact SE on the weekend or holidays and not get a recording saying they're closed.

Yeah, I wanted to do that, but I have no way of contacting anyone I know in-game. I was wondering if someone could help me get into contact with them, could you PM me? Thanks.

I'm in the same boat, was just on yesterday but this morning it says, "Incorrect Playonline ID or password". SE also seems to be having maintenance on the registration servers so they can't reissue passwords or cancel accounts... Starting to seem like there's something wrong on their end of things.

Yeah, I knew it wasn't my side of the problem because I play on PS2 so it's just impossible. I received an email today that involves a breach on their side, resulting in a reset of passwords on accounts they believe have been breached. I'm trying to get a hold of a representative right now to reattain access.

Yeah, I got the same email and I'm now waiting for an "Agent" as well. Lovely.

Regained access into my account. Found myself in another zone in a dangerous spot and died. Lost about 600k in gil and my MH, Mog Locker, and Storage were all wiped clean save for the Rare/Ex items. My inventory was filled with scrolls they were apparently trying to farm. Trying to get account recovery assistance right now. Good luck to you guys too.

I just went through this, it was painful. They changed my address, CC# and phone number it took a long time before they would actually reset my password. I did it through the chat service.

They ask a LOT of information, and the only reason I got it was because I found an old email telling me the month and year that I registered. If you have your POL registration code, when you registered, the amount of content IDs and their names and your basic personal info (DOB, phone number) and you get a decent person on chat support they should reset it for you.
