High jump and jump are used to gain tp, but if geared right they can increase damage over time significantly. Jump damage based on vit and attack and high jump being based on attack(acc to, cus that bish is inaccurate). Assuming you eat meat(hedgehog pie), what would be the best gear( not including relic/ AV drop items) to equip to utilize your damage? Assume brd songs both march and mobs are what u find in einherjar.
Here is what I have for a base so far, some things will need to be changed. but i need more people to use minds to help me out.
Jump:
input /equip hands "Bandomusha Kote";

Overall: +41 str, +35 vit, +20 Dex, +59 attack, +19 accuracy, Double Atttack/ Triple Attack(Da4%, Ta1%?) without food.
High Jump:

input /equip main "Hagun";
input /equip ear1 "Bushinomimi";

With pie that adds an additional +5 acc, 6 str, 2 vit, and 90 attack(18% bonus, caps 90 at 500 attack)

Make a swap for some extra STP. It's gotta be = to your TP gear's STP.
Jump (On DRG main) has a formula.. floor((Base Damage)*(VIT/256+1))
adding 20 vit (from 80 -> 100) on a 75 dmg wep adds about 6 dmg. So the 35 vit you are adding in your first set for the loss of all the dex/atk/acc in the other set seems kinda silly >_>
Those are pretty ideal sets if your accuracy is close to capped. Maybe you might rethink your Kabuto for Maat's or Gnadbhod's(better dmg/gives some acc)
You should look into which other slots can provide you the most accuracy for what you are loosing. Look for VIT first, then atk, then str.
Potent Belt?
Iota -> Sniper +1 / tor / dex+6 acc+3 ring?
I'm a bit out of circulation, so others might have better gear ideas... just thought I'd cash in D:

I think Kabuto's a pretty cool guy. Eh adds like 5 dmg to my jump and doesn't afraid of anything.

Which is pretty decent really. Osode is also a good jump piece (acc depending) if you don't have the Noct mail~

since i jump in ace's, let's drop my hit/miss rate negative by three for good measure since kabuto would be -7 acc
64 x 5: 320 damage - but then after you account my jump average and the ones i would miss by using kabuto, 3 x 160: 480, ace's already wins by default there, but this is beside the fact, y'know how much damage i did that entire parse?

337,597. 4.64% of that was both types of jumps, 30.72% of that was melee swings, and the final 63.09% of that was purely weapon skills.
you tell me: is landing the jump(s) and giving yourself tp toward more weapon skills a good idea, or's it a good idea

I agree with Iron in that capped acc is the most important thing to aim for as SAM/DRG jumps.
Since the majority of SAM's DMG comes from weaponskills, garanteed TP gained from Jump is going to outweigh a few extra DMG with uncapped acc.
