So this went to my e-mail spam folder, so I don't trust it fully, however when I tried to play earlier yesterday, my content IDs were canceled, and it said my CC payment information was out of date. It didn't look like anything was changed on my accounts so I don't know.

You tell me.

It's legit.

Others in another thread have said they got an email too. One guy actually got hacked and lost a lot of stuff.

Just because it came into you spam folder doesn't mean it's actually spam. Sometimes, legit emails get put their by the server of your email account for no reason.

Where is that thread where I said gil/gold sellers are getting out of control now.

It is just ridiculous now. All MMO's are getting hit with this problem.

I have always wondered if they try to avoid hacking those who buy from them. Or if they even care.

I had the same issue with the CC thing and my Content ID's being canceled the other day, all I had to do was go into my membership account and update the CC info again and it let me re-register my Content ID's again. Have you tried that at all?

Yeah, it didn't look like any sort of phishing scam or anything to me (no asking of personal information and such), just that I saw no one talking about it for something that's surprisingly big, so I was wondering if it was legit.

Yeah, just had to update the CC info, reactivate my IDs, and everything was fine. I thought I put that in the OP, but I guess I was panicky and forgot. But like I said, it looked like I didn't lose anything.

I went to reactivate my account today because i had switched banks and was waiting for a new debit card in mail . my account was deactivated because of last months past due fee im following the bullshit instructions for paying through playonline w/ my new mastercard (it has secure code 3-d) but i cant get it to go throught and after 3 times it says card wont work. ] m wondering if theyre havign server problems cus thats the first 2 messages i get when trying to submit or if my card simply isnt exceptted i had tried to contact SE which is nearly impossible
The customer service number is now disconected eventho it told me to call it when trying to reactivate..... go figure...... and ive prob spent 10hours in 2 days waiting for online chat help..... and i sent a email which was not answered in any way its been 3 days now...... worst fucking customer service ever.... think im gonna report them too Better Business Bureau for being unable to contact them alone.... theyll probably send me to collections for that 13.95 that they wont even let me pay......

You have to sign up to secure 3-d and other crap to do it. They do the same for Visa card. Only work around i've seen is to use a PS2/PS3 or a XBOX 360 and update the card info that way because it doesn't use Secure 3-D.

my new card is registered w/ secure code. SE even gave me access to log back into playonline but now i still cant even update my damn account info because the servers suck so much ass. they are constantly busy. Had to physically go to my bank and confirm that my card had no problems and the processing code the bank had is related too there servers dropping the request to processs card. think ive tried at least 40 times to update too new CC info in the past 3 days now.....
