I've used my COR for a lot of things, but I'm joining an HNM shell for the first time and really don't have a clue what I should be subbing/doing. I was hoping someone could give me a brief primer for each of the standard targets. I figure for wyrms I'm looking at a /BLM or /RDM Quick Draw focus...less certain about Aspid, Cerb, DI, KB, Khim, KV, etc. Thanks.

I pretty much focused on /RDM on endgame since while I didn't have acess to MAB2 like /BLM did (Although once 99 rolls around that will change) you also had the ability cure.

/WHM has it's places but I prefered /RDM. I only went /WHM in a small haldful of events where Curaga was a bit of a help, like on Faf/Nidhogg for an extra countermeasure for wing spam. /WHM would be helpful on Cerebus for paralyna to since I couldn't get enough AGI/M.Acc to get an unresisted shot on him.

Also don't forget about /BLU for COR. It's an odd combo but it's pretty nice.

/BLU can get the same MAB as BLM, with access to Healing Breeze and Wild carrot, which are both more MP efficient than their white magic counter parts. I'm only spouting this off as second hand knowledge so if it is wrong yell at someone else.

I thought /BLU only gave you MAB1 at this point...

Eh you're right. Still has healing breeze and wild carrot though, so unless you need na spells, no reason to use anything other than /BLU or /BLM.

/BLM is pretty situational at that.

Another good/interesting thing about /BLU is, aside from the Heals and MAB trait, you can probably set extra spells to increase your AGI to much higher values compared to /RDM and /BLM to increase Quick Draw accuracy, even more so once more spells are available for the SJ once the level cap is raised.

That's pretty much the main reason for BLU. And while +6 AGI may not seem like a lot it does seem to be quite noticeable on some magic resistant mobs. /BLU on Kirin = <3

How so? Only thing I remember is they were going to try and focus on increasing their damage potential.... whatever that means.
