/COR would only give half the benefit of the roll so Evoker's roll would be 2mp/tic maximum with 1mp/tic most of the time.

the limition to roll with /cor is the effect of the level and not because its a sub job....

my cor is 31 ATM so i haven't been able to test it but my friend claims that the effect of Evoker's Roll was full power when he used is lower level cor mule on his blm ie his level 40-50ish cor gave full refresh to his 75 blm (i dont know if this is true is as a 50 cor should give a 67% of the buff to the 75 so ya IDK)

if this is true the /cor would give smn 3-5 mp/tiack

if this is not true then you get a 1/2 power roll(if you SJ is fully leveled) with the job bounes (+1mp tick), so 2 unless you hit 11 then its 3 (unless 10 and 3's 1.5 rounds up to 2 then +1 for 3, then 11 will give you 4).

so could be 3-5 or 2-3(4), we will have to see or if some have to wait and see

the way to relay sell this over refresh is if an other person in you pt is rdm or l /rdm (seeing as all other mage will get more out of /rdm then asmn who gets to play smn will i think the odds of an other person /rdm is very high) so he-she can refesh you and you can evoker's roll them to give you both 5-8 mp a tick, in stead of 3,

and if it give full power as my friends claims that would free a cor in your pt to do an other roll for your mages a different buff

I was hopeful about the same thing, until I read this on Wiki. Now, understandable, Wiki isn't law, but it's usually correct.

The Unlucky Number for a roll is always equal to (Lucky Number + 4).
The exact potency of Phantom Roll results can be reduced for the receiving players if they are of a level higher than the Corsair. (ie, a level 75 job would receive a smaller attack bonus from Chaos Roll from a level 14 Corsair than they would from a 75 Corsair with the same number result) However, the Corsair still receives full potency.
Rolls from a sub Corsair are 1/2 the listed effectiveness.
Please see the Phantom Roll page for additional information on Phantom Roll details.

the highlight part on the wiki is wrong.

if one used a 75/37cor in a pt with a level 37 anything he wouldl get full effect of the roll. this i have Tested and you can test it too just a get a friend to /cor and go on a job the same level or lower then the sj level

the reason it says that is cuz people are slow they do the rolls with 75/37 and people getting ~49%, and with out real testing ti easy to say and show you get 1/2 power, IDK why this wouldn't happen with evokers roll, it will more then liklyl be 2-3(4), and not the 3-5 we hope it will be but ya 2-3(4) would not be bad if you already getting refresh from another mage seeing as there all /rdm unless they are a rdm

well this will be a good thing to test out the moment someone hits 80...

either way max of 2mp/tic or 4, its an additional source of refresh that can be subbed now and makes it rather useful in parties..
the unfortunate thing is that SMNs cant use guns at all, so we wont be able to make use of Quick Draw...

Tarutaru SMN converting and getting 1/4 of their MP back, then curing themselves with what little MP they have left and being completely out of mp again....win. Pure win.

No.

I don't know why so many people are knocking Tarus. I think most of you fail to realize 2 things. 1) If you are going to use convert, you should carry a convert set and 2) Tarus already have so many more MP that we can afford to swap in more HP pieces. I haven't put a ton of time into my set but I think it is decent and it is far better than what you are claiming.

In my idle gear I have 808 HP/1519 MP. When I have an avatar summoned those numbers change to 808HP/1409 for celestials and Fenrir, and 808/1445 for Carbuncle. Using a pretty basic convert set (one that I do plan on working on) I arrive at 1001 HP/1404MP.

It takes me 1 Cure III to heal to full HP (so that 46 MP spent). After converting it would take me 3 Cure III's to get back into the white. That is 138 MP spent post convert netting me 863MP total. It's not spectacular, but it is no where near 1/4 or 1/3 of my total mp. And while I haven't played around much with /RDM since hitting 80 the few times I have converted I've tried using the Light Spirit. I've found it much more beneficial to have the spirit already summoned when you convert. This requires some better planning obviously. But even if it takes you 3-4 ticks to get Cure V, you're looking at 64MP to be healed. And all of this is with a very very basic convert set. With some of the new items added, I see myself being able to hit 1200HP pretty easily.

It's also worth noting that as a Taru, I 1) Don't have as much HP to heal back after convert 2) I'm already starting with more MP so I'm not losing anything when I swap back out of my convert gear and 3) I'm going to last longer before I even need to convert. Also keep in mind that you'll be using siphon in conjunction with Convert so that is an additional 315+ MP.

And it should go without saying that this is still better than the alternative, which is resting back all of those MP. Yes the other raises may be able to achieve better results with their converts, but it is by no means useless to Tarus.

Just got RDM to 40 today and played with it. I like it. I get 700ish back from convert and then 322 from Siphon, that's almost all my MP back, -1 the 3 cure 3's. It's better than sublimation.
