Hey, ive been considering coming back just because of pure boredom. Is FFXI dead? Or is it still worth coming back to? Opinions please

FFXI's not dead (yet). We're getting some hefty updates in the coming months. Biggest thing is the new level cap increases to 99. New areas (Abyssea), new mobs, new gear (AFv3 announced), among a ton of other things. The game is far from dead. If anyone says otherwise, they're just pessimists who aren't happy with the game, but that's their opinions they're entitled to. Can always reactivate and see things for yourself and determine how you feel what direction the game is going, but in my opinion (and I'm sure many others will agree), the game is far from dead.

Haha yeah, I was reading about some of that stuff earlier today. Anyways, im going to pick up a new copy of the game today and was wondering if anyone of you guys had a good server to recommend? Thanks!

Phoenix is a good server. I went there today, moving from Ragnarok. It's populated but not overcrowded like Asura is.
