A Sonic game in 3D that plays like a 2D without all the gimmicky crap? It's for Wii and DS. I hope it's not like Secret Rings or Black Knight... The fact it's for DS as well gives me hope.

Wait, could this be the fun part of Sonic Unleashed only in this game? The game looks great, all they have to do is not put any stupid gimmick in there, like having, painting colors on walls in hub areas crap.

With that said, I haven't played a Sonic game since Sonic 2. This looks interesting.

That's one thing I hated about what Sega did with characters. There's so many now I don't know who the !@#$ is who.

Well as you can already tell, SEGA's recent Sonic games have cut down the amount of characters down to Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, and Amy again. I am fine with this since these characters were around before the Dreamcast. I have not seen Shadow in anything past Sonic 2006, main title wise, and sweet Jesus thank you. One line that would describe Shadow, "Uhhg, my past!". There you go.
