[ Corsair ]
These seafaring types trust their fates to the roll of the die, and we plan on bringing this trait even further to the foredeck by increasing the benefits gained for rolling a lucky eleven.
We'd also like to give corsairs a more prominent role in parties by making marksmanship more effective, and adding new abilities that further flesh out the unique flavor of the job.

What we got:

Bolter's Roll (COR Lv.76)
Increases movement speed for party members within area of effect.

Caster's Roll (COR Lv.79)
Enhances "Fast Cast" effect for party members within area of effect.

Resist Amnesia COR Lv.30 Gives you a slight resistance against amnesia.

- If a corsair's "Double-Up" ability produces a total of XI, the roll's effect duration will be extended to 10 minutes.

Bolter's Roll will probably be awesome for soloing things and depending on the %'s it may make it possible for Corsair's to solo shit they couldn't before, assuming your roll doesn't fall off if you do/take damage.

Caster's Roll seems like it would be awesome in Tank PT's. I wouldn't be surprised if PLD's would be able to cap there Utsu timers with it.

The double duration seems w/e to me. It's cool I guess but I expected something better.

And yeah there is 2 more updates to come, I hope to see these DD improvements.

Will Bolter's Roll wear off when you are attacked or attack an enemy?

Yes

The rule is that movement speed from gear and movement speed from effects stack, but gear+ gear and effect + effect doesn't..

It would suck if bolters roll would dispell if you get hit, but I can't see that being that i's a roll.

It probably will wear off when you attack or are attacked, but it will be a nice "Oh Shi-!" macro to get yourself out of danger ASAP or get somewhere faster.

Fast Cast is going to be winsauce for tanks and healers though.

I hope they remember to make the Double-Up chance wear off if/when the movement speed+ wears off. I had a roll get dispelled a couple nights ago in campaign and ended up seeing this. I was hoping since the Double-Up chance was still active, it would just put my roll back on.

Not that it's a big deal, it just looks silly.

I think raptor mazurka and 12.5% equipment will stack to make 25% speed equivalent to chocobo mazurka, but that same equipment doesn't make chocobo mazurka any faster.

Probably: bolters + raptor will take you to 25% on Lucky roll, but not any higher if you roll an 11 (which is already 25%).

For kiting around a room or a large obstacle like a lake or a wall, it would be better to have crimson/skadi gear but not at the same time.

In town, or normal running. If you're going /brd, you may as well ignore bolters roll and just wear gear and raptor yourself.
