You did it wrong. NIN does NOT get Crit. Def. Bonus. NIN gets Tactical Parry:
Tactical Parry NIN Lv.77,DNC Lv.77 Grants bonus TP when parrying an attack.

Pretty disappointing in my opinion. And why the hell couldn't they tell us what the new ninjutsu is, I am gonna speculate a sneak and invisible spell in one cast...
edit: they gave /sam sekkanoki lol... WTF!!!

They announced about Sekkanoki months ago.
Anyhow, I can't seem to find what 哀車 means. That's "aisha." If anyone has a good dictionary around, have at it, that should give some idea of what the spell is.

"One's favorite car" or "loyalty to one's employer" according to my Japanese dictionary, not much of a clue there.
edit: yay for having to buy and pack around even more tools.

My lv75 blu with 145parry parries more than my 248parry nin which is also at 75 on the same mobs but has higher agi. We need parry mastery before we get any real use out of this parry trait.
Secondly, making :san more useful or changing it's speed/dmg formula should be a priority over adding in blm-like abilities.
GO~GO Sange:San btw >_>
Soshi: obstruction, check, hindrance, prevention and element/data
Aisha: Beloved car (ninja transportation/warp or increased movement?)
Ai: love
sha well, now
sha inn, hut, house, mansion
sha borrowing
sha photograph, copy, transcribe, duplicate
Going to guess it'll bet due to the word 'Sha' it's a utsusemi you cast on another target since it'll obstruct dmg from a mob onto it's target of hate. Another bet is a self stun buff for a target like shock spikes. Also because of the word 'love' added i'll go with protection/care for someone else... or maybe we'll get collaboration: ichi

based on the onyomi reading, I think it might be movement +, since 哀 suggests empathy or pitty, and 車's onyomi is car. So who knows, but thats exciting.

Maybe (but I highly doubt it) we get clones like Kagetora does in campaign. Like I said, I really doubt that's what it is, but with some of the translations for the word I've been seeing, you can't completely rule it out.

Sounds like you're getting Stoneskin.
obstruction/hinderance/prevention : stone
inn/house/hut/mansion : skin

Anyone else here miffed that they gave SCH that TP return from magic job trait? BLU NIN and DRK are the only jobs that come to mind that could really make use of that trait, instead we get MB bonus >.>, and RDM doesn't <.<? WTF SE WTF!
edit: Glad DRK at least got it, that will hopefully encourage them to do a little more casting, which is cool.

The only spell BLU would use for TP bonus would be flashga, jett-something, temporal shift, and a few others. sadly these spells can get our behinds kicked at the same time of use lol

The wiki seems to think Aisha is target's attack down so far. This has the potential to be very underwhelming.

The fail is pretty epic here. Epic. Anymore of a sucky spell and wiki would read something along the lines of "lowers your attack".

So basically it's ninja bio that (maybe) won't overwrite dia?
Might get to a point where nin subs cor and use those coffinmakers for ninjutsu+quickdraw damage.
Koga Chainmail, Ninja Tekko, and Ninja Hakama gives plenty of r.accu.
Example: Huton: Ni > Jubaku: Ichi > Ice Shot
Say goodbye to inventory space to whoever's bored enough to give it a try.

Quickdraw doesn't rely on Ranged Accuracy. It uses AGI and Magic Accuracy (supposedly) to determine resistance, then Magic Attack Bonus and weapon+ammo damage for the damage portion. Simply put, no, Ninja won't be doing this.

SE Likes to [Paradigm Shift] in their updates, its so fucking sad. One year SAMs and DRKs rule the realms, then DRGs hit their all time low. Soon enough, they make a come up straight to the top, and then BLMs get nerfed/start owning, NIN keeps teetering back and forth through the ages. What the fuck is up with the constant shifting of game mechanics over the years? If there were (for lack of a better term) Tier Lists for FFXI roles over the course of its time, you'd see a mountain-valley graph of highs and lows, a clear indication of how shitty SE has adjusted the game over time.
True, its never possible to please everyone in a game, but I just dont personally understand what is SE's intention when it comes to NIN. They create the job, give it shadows, give it two weapons to attack fast, then take away enmity from shadows absorbed, then give it some range properties, then shift to magic damage dealing, but their relic weapon displays NONE of those roles in any ways. What do they want Ninja to do? Seriously, what is Ninja's role in FFXI?
;
I truly hope this shittastic display of game balance doesn't infiltrate into FFXIV. Its been extremely boring over the years watching SE shift their attention from "Go ahead BLMs, kill anything you want" to "DRGs, you dogs will have your day once again". Make up your mind please @_@;;;
