"main hand", intentionally directing itself to make me believe it's actually meant to place a penalty toward dual-wield, as they'll only be able to critical via main hand instead of both (see: not giving /nin innin since apparently critical hits are madddddd good), though allows both dual wield and two-handed alike to benefit

i can guarantee you that it'll work for two-handers as well, since they wouldn't go and make great axe traitless as far as warrior goes, on top of the fact that it'd state "does not work with a two-handed weapon"; squeenix isn't that clueless y'know (seigan and hasso descriptions say hello >B|)

edit: that new war ja pretty much fucks over rampage (if you use it), which i find is quite ironic, since they put so much emphasis here on "ZOMG /NIN DUAL WIELD NERFNERFNERF" with this update accordingly (since warrior can just bypass this problem with the job ability by using kj instead of rr obviously)

wouldn't be surprised at this rate if dual wield III is only 20% instead of the 25% it should be too in the update after this one, lolololo

Innin is a freakin' sick addition to NIN's DD Capabilities. It put me equal at first place with a DRK in my limbus shell.

- The level requirement for the samurai ability "Sekkanoki" will be reduced from 60 to 40.

if Sekkanoki will not be sam only, then there is no point to play sam anymore, even the last sam only ja is taken away from us. there is just nothing unique left to sam.
not to mention compare to what rng, war, drg, blm and pld getting, we are only getting a pat on the shoulder

Lol what?

I swear all you emo Samurais better not bandwagon back on Monk (and maybe Warrior but idc about Warrior). I was relieved when most of you decided to quit.

And really, over Sekkanoki. It's a nice JA, but it's not that game breaking. It's only good on Samurai because of Meditate.

and you're not gunna bother predicting anything at all because that'd leave you with a possibility of being wrong as well, am i right

chill, have some fun and chip in your two cents instead of having that banana-shaped phallus within five feet of you as per usual pathwriter :\

oh, and if they literally mean single-wielding an axe (or sword) with no dual wield for the trait to activate (though shield perhaps being viable due to the shield job trait war is getting),

French version of Fencer description says "When only one single hand weapon is wielded....". So unless spaghetti code strikes again, it won't work with 2h weapons.

I was predicting something, you insipid cumcatcher. I was predicting that your assertions of "Surely this will work with two-handed weapons" will be wrong and it will be exactly as the wording implies. Newzarb pointing out the French translation (which, go figure, I read French and I always double-check update notes on the EU site for precisely this reason) just confirms it. Square-Enix is nothing if not predictable.

Anyhow, as your own photograph points out, fencers don't use two-handed weapons. Traditionally, they would use a buckler of some sort, but somehow that fell out of fashion over the centuries. Absolutely nothing about either this announcement or basic historical logic suggests that one fences with a 20 lb. bladed lump mallet nominally called a "great axe."

Path, I think you have an addiction to anger. You need to seek help, or at least chill the fuck out once in a while. The whole asshole thing is getting old.

Although I know that reasonable discourse is something you generally have to be led to by the nose, surely you're not suggesting that I should respond nicely to the semi-literate provocateur who did everything he could to warrant the single insult I threw his way? His lame attempt at a response by way of an image macro that was tired several months ago only strengthens my position as the dominant party here. This has nothing to do with anger. As you're so wont to say, it takes a lot more than this to raise my ire. For that matter, you telling me to quit being a raging asshole, in addition to being a heaping pile of nonsense, is hypocrisy of the first order. I'm pretty sure I've pointed that out to you on multiple occasions, too.

Fencer won't be for two-handed weapons. Why would you want it, anyhow? Samurai damage doesn't have shit to do with critical hits. Hell, Great Katana doesn't even have a critical hit weaponskill and Samurai never uses the Polearm one available to them. I wouldn't expect the TP bonus to be anything spectacular, in the same way that the one applied via Savagery is pretty much negligible. If you're still subbing Warrior by the time you hit 90, you'll at least get Aggressor out of the deal, though who knows whether it'll be necessary. It's entirely feasible, if not outright likely, that new and interesting JAs and JTs will be added in the remaining 19 levels yet to be made.

You could have said that in a lot less wording, which would be more clear to most people. Just sayin'.

I could, but I have more fun saying it that way.
