Enmity generation for the following spells has been adjusted:
Sleep / Sleep II / Dispel / Blind / Blind II / Bind


So who doubts this is going to be an Enmity increase?

Not particularly angry, but I'll admit to be extremely surprised. Square clearly used RDM/NIN tanks in their lolAV video, leading me to believe that this day would never come.

Agreed. I called a friend, who tanked Cerb on RDM last night. "Looks like that Cerb will be the last thing you ever tank." He's very surprised since, as you pointed out, they used RDM/NIN in their AV video, indicating they have a preference to it. In addition though, this ruins DRK tanking (On un meleeable mobs) and NIN tanking. Ruin might be a strong word for NIN, but it certainly does not help it's case any.



Fuck this update. Seriously, no AoE Haste too.

DRK will still be fine. Absorbs, Stun, and constant damage output will secure them as a great tank. NIN is done, though.

On the other side of the coin, the enmity decrease (assuming it is a decrease) is wonderful if you main sleep in dynamis like I do. But I can see how this is a killer for RDM tanks.

My RDM hasn't tanked, at all, so that part of it is not effected (unless, of course, SE increased the hate, but highly unlikely)

Like Sincentius said, I'll have slightly less problems with hate in dynamis as main sleeper.

I generally Sleepga>Sleep2 singles, so a little less hate is better than none.

They have no reason to nerf Sleepga enmity. Unless BLM turns into a serious tank, it'll never be used as a enmity generating spell.

The scholar ability "Accession" does not affect the white magic spell "Haste".

The motivation they had for adjusting enmity from the other spells really doesn't carry over to sleepga.

Edit: What I wonder is if they nerfed BLU enmity as well. Their spells had nearly identical hate values.

All joking aside, I think what SE did really took out all the shitty tanks and what's left is going to be the good tanks.
