new standard builds

ok so my current builds consist of

TP
turban 5% haste
hauberk 5str/dex 10acc/atk
foragers
pcc
homam hands 3haste 4acc
swift belt 3acc 4haste
brutal/abyss
rajas iota
blitz 7acc 3haste
homam feet 3haste 6acc

and now the perle hauberk set gives

* Defense +179
* STR +22
* DEX +14
* VIT +10
* Attack +25
* Accuracy +18
* Enmity +4
* Haste +8%
* "Critical hit rate" +2%
* Set: Haste +5%

you lose 1% haste 2acc and 1 dex but gain alittle atk, crit hit rate (could probably just use the body alone too) and gain a whole lot of defense...

the new set seems to have plenty of potential... like the 10acc 4dex pants that would probably be a great tag on for ares body

i know i compaired this to my own build but for those drks who dont have all the hard to get random gears it looks to me like this set could bring them all up to par very very very quickly... and i wouldnt doubt it possibly matching the homam way of haste... this set has the same haste/acc as homam + aces.... only 1 more enm and much more generous str and atk (body is the only place where you lose much but its like 2-3acc loss for more power via crit rate and str) not to mention the loss of all that annoying -eva :o

At 18,000 Cruor for the whole set, we'll be in Abyssea for a while. However, I like the look and stats to this set. The look kind of gives a "White Knight" sort of feel. Also, I'm more than willing to sacrifice the 2-3 ACC. The enmity doesn't matter to me either and the fact the Haste is almost the same (give or take 1-2 haste) makes is viable for those of us who dont already have the set yet. Overall, I'd say sacrificing 2-3 ACC for a generous amount of STR and ATK in exchange is well worth it. Besides, at this point, if you have ACC troubles due to just 2-3 ACC, then there's a big problem here. Also the extra Crit Rate bonus looks yummy.

I'll be going for this set. Not only is it more accessible, but obtaining it should be a lot more fun. I mean really, think about the alternatives for the Body alone:

Einherijar and hope you get lucky in Odin's area.
Kill Nidhogg and hope for an E.Body drop.
Either way, you need to be next in line for it.

I'd MUCH rather be able to run into Abyssea, fight some fun war-like battles akin to Campaign, and get Cruors and buy the armors without having to worry about pecking order of the Linkshell or hearing "We're not doing Nidhogg for now. We're going to Sky again lols."

If the lower ACC and miniscule haste loss is made up for in attack, I'd say this set should be considered as the perfect alternative instead of simply "the next best thing."

I'll see you guys in Abyssea.

The perle set is not a bad set at all; however, the standard Turban, HomamX3 (legs, feet, hands) or even better the Turban, HomamX2(feet, hands), and ASA legs(with haste+3%, acc+7) is still better.

If you don't have homam, I suppose you can go for the perle set...but if you already have Homam...there is no reason to get the perle set honestly.

They're similar but different. I'd say compare the 2 sets and see how much different they are overall in the long run. I have a feeling the classic set will be the best overall for now, but at least Perle is there as an easier alternative. And I want it. NOW.

I am so sick of my wal-mart DRK I could scream.

if you go by the 3haste 7acc legs w/ turban then yes that setup beats this new set, but if you put up the cliche 3 homam w/ aces and nq hauberk then you have the exact same haste with a slight acc loss (about 3 max but thats from body not the rest).. made up for easily by all the extra str (not to mention the lack of -eva making it less ass to get rid of hate unscathed) and at+ oh and did we mention the def+? hell the body alone has 61def which is more def than the diff between protect 4 and 5 from e body

point made with this set: can be beaten for now but look at all you have to do to match it/pass it (camp for aces and do limbus for 5+ months in a good shell)

ps. idk about you but im takin the body if nothin else ill ditch a few acc... could always get the 105dmg 513delay 6dex 16acc scythe lol... this game has too many options now

Just point out for you guys, the set gives 14% Haste, because of a typo on the US Client for the Head which actually gives 3 haste.
Food for thought for those of you trying to decide

why is that type-o still there? cant be that hard to fix and they had several maints after the update.

why cant it be like wow so we know for sure what our total stats are? all these type-os and hidden effects is annoying.

You know, rambus, it's probably just easier to use "typo". Every time you use "type-o" I have a miniature aneurysm because you don't complete the phrase with "negative".

Since it's shorthand for "typographical error" "type-o" is just retarded.
