Im assuming theres no way to upgrade the graphics card on a laptop, right? I'd have to buy a new computer? I forget what model Toshiba I have, but im almost certain it cant run ffxiv. anyone can give any tips?

Almost all laptops have their graphics card integrated into the system board, so basically yes, you would have to buy a better laptop. Also would not suggest a Toshiba or a Dell for gaming. Go for an Alienware or anything that has a good graphic card.
