Yeah...What the fuck?

We gotta wait till next year to play this shit?

What are we supposed to do till then...troll the forums wishing we were playing the adventures PC players are playing & ooo-ing and aaahh-ing at the screenshots? WTF!

And I'm not a PC person...I'm strictly console...so I dont know muvh about PC's...but arent PC's more complicated than consoles with PC users having to constantly upgrade the shit?

A console Is a console..no upgradding...wouldnt It be easier to make a game for a console other than a PC?

Now...Inorder for me to definitly claim my In-game name & linkshell name....I HAVE to buy a PC.

I just pre-ordered the CE edition off of amazon and I have a question: Let's say I dont manage to save enough for a PC for the games release...let's say I just have to wait for the PS3 edition....would my PC CE exclusive content(what Is it some hat or goggles or w/e)...would I still be able to get it for the PS3...or Is It some kinda timed exclusive kinda thing wherer I have to redeem it In a certain amount of time?

This is bullshit...I could be playing this In..what Is it..2 months? But NoooOoooOoo...I have to wait till next year.

This Is bullshit.

And no, PCs are not that complicated.

Bitch bitch bitch....

I think PC's are better just because you can always upgrade them. Consoles you are stuck with what you got.

Vari, do you know if the bonus items from the CE?SE apply to Ps3 as well like he mentioned? I mean, I imagine there isnt going to be a CE for Ps3, but what If I bought the SE for PC and decided to hold the code for the ps3 release. would I still be able to redeem for the items if anyone knows?

The code is for your SE account, not what console you play on, once you have the code, unless SE says otherwise, it doesn't have to be used till you feel like using it. Hell you can put in the code without turning the game on. Everyone has a SE account, so once you get it, put the code in.

There's also the fact that SE will release a CE for the PS3.

Fact or Possibility? Are websites selling ps3 versions already?

No. But it's simple logic that they always launch a CE version when they launch on a new console. The thing is it might be a different item, but there will be a CE.

I think companies should delay more games that you want to play. You are only showing your immaturity by getting so worked over about this issue.

Either both PS3 version and PC version would have come out in 2011, or only the PS3 version. And I'm sure that would have been fine with you that PC version got delayed too, but that's like giving me the middle finger- so fuck you too, asshole.

People seem to be forgetting that it was the same with the PC and PS2 versions of FFXI when it released in north america. The PC version was released in North America on October 28, 2003, and the PlayStation 2 version on March 23, 2004

Get a PC.

Well good then. Actually, 6 months isnt too bad in terms of lateness. Hell, I probably wasted well over 6 months of game time LFP back in FFXI in whitegate. It'll just be "off to the races" when I finally get into it.

No, people aren't forgetting that. What people are forgetting are the elitist attitudes of PC players back then who thought they were high and mighty compared to PS2 "noobs." Six months does not make anyone a pro at an MMO when speaking of release dates, especially since very little endgame will be implemented until the PS3 release, more than likely. However, what we PS3 players are not wanting is an established "PC onry" attitude when we log in.

People can say it won't happen, and I'm sure there will be diamonds in the rough willing to show us the ropes, however, the point is that quite a lot of people pulled this BS back in FFXI, and the concern is a valid one.

I personally think it was a horrible marketing decision that will hurt SE in the long run, along with Sony's sales, but I'll pick up a copy for the PS3 if Cataclysm doesn't hold my attention long enough. Just started playing WoW again after finding this out, along with a lot of people from various forums. I'd love to see all of these PC players, that are blowing it off like it's totally ok, if their precious PC version was delayed by six months.

eh, back when this first happend with ff11 the mmo world was alot different, for alot of people ff11 was thier first or at most second mmo. people were still learning how to even play online games. at this point in the online gaming world, u can play from day 1 and not be a noob, and 6 months later some will still be noobs, those who play on ps3 and are good will lvl fast and find thier ranks wtih the rest of the skilled players imo.

I was one of those "PS2 Noobs" and I got ripped on trying to camp NMs for a quest item when people were farming it for a $ drop. Also trying to party as a 'half naked pld' because FFXI was my first MMO, and I was trying to play a very gear-heavy job. I didnt know any better and yes, I did get my feelings hurt when people told me that I sucked and I needed to leave but I did find a few good friends that taught me the ropes. I will be one of those people in XIV thats happy to help if people have the patience to listen.

Try the elitism of the JP who'd been playing for a year... I too played PLD, and Galka @ that. It was rough going at first, but found some VERY helpful JP players who took me under their wing, and I returned the favor @ PS2 release, and beyond. No reason for people to be dicks, yet we know they will.

My best friend irl at the time was playing PS2 when I'd been playing PC. I ended up helping a lot of PS2 players get oriented. I do remember the anti-PS2 wave though. Most of the jackasses got over it in a few months, but some people are dumb enough to start forming cliques thinkin' "This is our game!" When it's really not.

I mentioned something similar in another thread. Starting 6 months after someone isn't like starting 5 years after. It's not like the PC players will all be max level, geared with the best stuff and killing wyrms (or whatever).

However, those who know how I am will get a surprise if they start the "LOLPS3" attitude when we start.

I doubt we'll ever see "LOLPS3." One thing that people are forgetting is that FFXI was designed for the PS2 and not a PC. FFXIV has been built with both systems in mind.

I don't think waiting will be that bad. Not like the PC version will be that great at the start.
