I'm not following the description. Is this a h2h weapon or a pair of footwork boots? Wiki has the boots listed as the only notable drop. The 35 DMG you have listed at the beginning of the post leads me to think it may be a h2h weapon and Wiki just hasn't been updated properly for new content.
Just a random thought that keeps bouncing around inside my brain, but could it be possible that SE has increased/tweeked the haste cap? There sure is a lot of new equips that offer haste. Specifically the addition of the hands that offer 2% haste, these new boots with 5% latent haste, the robo helm that offers 6% haste, the necklace with 1% haste. All pieces equipable by MNK which would put us at what 31% total haste from equips alone?
Probably just a pipe dream but WOW, that would be sick lol.

They're called poise shoes.... why the fuck would they be a fist weapon?
And if they mess with the haste cap, the game would be so broken. Probably just putting it in more slots to give us different gear choices.

Did you even bother to read and comprehend my question Austar2.0?

Do you understand how haste works?

Yes I understand haste. The question about haste, like I said, I had already chaulked it up as a pipe dream.
What I didn't understand was this:
35 DMG, 5% haste active under footwork
This type of referance is commonly used for a weapon description not armor. Now that I have considered the nature of the armor itself, I understand it better. I looked the NM up on Wiki and they had the "Poise Shoes" listed as the only notable drop from Lugarhoo. This is a piece of armor not a weapon and the "35 DMG" part of the OP's description was throwing me off. I thought that the NM had multiple drops. I just didn't understand the description.

35 DMG Haste+5% while under Footwork is actually more commonly understood as feet more than h2h.
This is because if this were a weapon, it'd be 1+ DMG higher than Spharai and that is just not possible right now.
Also, Footwork is a huge indicator.
The reason everyone is so related to this is because we've seen the .dat files with "Poise shoes" listing "Increases 'Kick Attack' Damage, Latent effect: Haste+5%" under it. Most MNK's nowadays that take MNK seriously understand most of the mechanics and what the general topic is about. Considering SE really did not think Footwork through for MNK, I think this update they were trying to revitalize the thought that they care (However they still don't, or else some things would be much easier to obtain [Hello Verethragna]). Either way, I'm interested to see the results of what constitutes the best build for MNK now, because these can be a contender in my opinion.
A build such as:
Main: Wargfangs OA 2-3 times (or OAT, not sure still on the effects)
Ammo: Lucky coin (Wherever this comes from is yet to be seen) (Can also be White tathlum depending on Store TP+)
Head: Usukane somen
Neck: Faith torque (Lv80 for the H2H Tier+)
Ear1: Brutal earring
Ear2: Aesir ear pendant
Body: Usukane haramaki
Hands: Usukane gote
Ring1: Rajas ring
Ring2: Zilant ring (This can be tricky, what if Ecphoria ring granted us an extra hit towards 100 TP?)
Back: Cuchulain's mantle (Or the Acc/Atk+8 mantle, forgot the name)
Waist: Black belt
Legs: Byakko's haidate
Feet: Poise shoes
Just an idea for the moment. Either way it's great to know we have something to talk about on the MNK Forums finally. Could also switch Byakko's for Usukane hizayoroi and switch Usukane somen for Walahra turban for cases where Accuracy is good.

Replace Somen with Brisk Mask, ideally. You also seem a bit Acc-heavy. Assuming you're still going to be using pizza, you can easily work in a bit more attack.

Extremely rough guess is 40k based on 500-600 dmg WS doing approx 1-2% hp a use. It uses Fevered Pitch 3 times in a row when it uses, never saw it use the HP restoration move, and it had no discernible 2hr that I noticed. Intimidate proc rate seems to increase as HP goes down as well, not that it would have any impact on Chi kiting, but for others who might be curious.
Also, it didn't seem too resistant to debuffs. Slow and elegy appeared to stick fine when not getting intimidates. Paralyze also stuck, and proc rate was about on par for a T mob. Our group did them as WHM DNC BRD MNKx2 THF BLM, and it took about 7 minutes or so a kill. DMG/hit was roughly 50 a hit with destroyers and no attack buffs, but that's eye balled so take it for what you will. Really regretting not firing up my parser

Also, we killed the fly that drops the ACC+12 mantle a few times. This fight is a fucking joke. Our group took literally no damage over two fights. I imagine BRD RDM/DRK MNK could trio this NM with little to no difficulty. It used no TP moves, triple attacks occasionally (not often), and attempts to cast aeroga3 every 30-45 seconds. No fast cast from what I can tell as well. This looks like it would be a good target for low man groups trying to farm cruor and good gear; cruor and xp were both decent off of the NM and the pop items seemed to drop like candy. If you cap on mantles, you can always sell them for a good chunk of change as well.
