K i was usin the new Rabbit jug pet in party and people were noticing a drop in xp. I dismissed my pet and sure enof the xp went up dont know if this was just a fluke but only seeing this on the rabbit jug pet any thoughts?

edit: k noticed that Polar Rabbits give a 10%xp boost and noticing about 10% drop in xp from the mob think SE gave them a -10% on pets?

My understanding is that the rabbit (and possibly others) is spawning a level HIGHER than the Beastmaster.

Probably because you are either not 80 yet and are either using monster gloves or have bst affinity merits that now cap at 80 making it possible for your pet to spawn at a higher level than you.

If you're the highest level in the party you spawn a jug pet.. im pretty sure it will end up taking exp as well. Even without the merits or monster gloves.

Worst case scenario, charm something in the area or use a jug that caps at 75.

what is this, 2004?

there is some more information needed to conduct this test

such as: where were you when you spawned it? what monsters were you fighting?

did you try spawning another rabbit to see if the xp really did drop? or did you just make a blind guess?
I find it hard to believe after years of SE slowly making BST more party-favourable, they would go back on their old ways and make jugpets that dont work well in parties.
It is my strong belief that jugpets only have higher stats now, comparable to that of a monster you would meet on the field.

if the new jugs did spawn higher than your level, there would honestly be no real reason to use or own Monster Gloves.
