I'm kind of bored right now and thought I would make a slightly fun topic and talk about our hardest boss experiences in our video gaming history. I have a few of my own.

Alma from Ninja Gaiden


This was definitely one of the worst things I ever experienced in my gaming history, at least took me a whole day to finally take this bitch to the ground, surprisingly, I didn't have much trouble with the game after that.

Aghanim from Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past


Definitely one of the easiest bosses to me today now, but when I was very young playing this game, it took me forever to finally figure out that I had to deflect his beams back at him. I think this fight was my first case of video game frustration. XD

Culex from Super Mario RPG


Still a little bit of a challenge today, but my experiences were again when I was very young, and I wasn't ever able to beat him after various tries until a few years later when I was better at RPG's, being able to take him down with ease, but this was still one of the hardest experiences in my time.

MGS ninja. I threw everything I had at that sadistic pile of pixels. Finally ended up buying the guide lol. I'm sure there's more of them but that's the first one that stands out.

Let's see...
Most of the Mega Man 2 Wily stage bosses were friggen evil to beat. Mainly because if you run out of the particular weapon energy you need, you're fucked and have to game over yourself to start the stage over.

In RPG terms... probably Skeith from .hack//Infection.
Or Demon Wall from FF4.

Digital Devil Saga 1 where you New Game + and fight the character from Nocturne. Jesus Christ most frustrating boss fight ever!

I nearly gave up on beating Ninja Gaiden on Hard after fucking with this bitch for hours. I hated Beowulf, Geryon, and Virgil (last time you fight him) in DMC3 more, though.

Yiazmat in FFXII was a breeze...until I got him down to the last few life bars, then I began to hate him.

Oh, yeah, and Lucifer in Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. (This boss woulda be a lot easier had I given all my demons the Pierce ability, but I was really lazy, and Dante was just too good not to use.)

The final boss in Parasite Eve 2,Ark Angel EV in the 6 man BCNM, The Magic Emperor in Lunar SSS (Didn't realize you had to have all of the dragon master gear on to defeat him)

The... "thing" from Hell Night. It was the only enemy, and was unstoppable. The game was terrifying, not because it was well made or atmospheric, but simply because it took you roughly 30 seconds to turn around. I never finished the game, but whatever crackpot ideas the characters came up with usually just made it even stronger, and every NPC that accompanied me ended up as fodder while I screamed furiously at the screen as I tried to turn and run.

Probably the only boss I've never beaten.

2. Boss Rushes in the Gradius series since if you die there you're more than likely screwed
3. Vampries from Illusion of Gaia
4. Bosses from level 3 and beyond from Streets of Rage 2
5. Metropollis Zone Robotnik form Sonic 2
6. Slick and the Dragon Twins from River City Ransom
7. Dr. Lugae from the DS version of FF4

I actually did give up on Ninja Gaiden. It's the only game I've never beat because it was too difficult. Yiazmatt wasn't really hard at all but good god his health man...

The final boss from Shinobi for the ps2 i think it was. The fucking wizard. GOD FUCKING DAMN i spent an entire fucking week tryin to beat that fuck and then gave up

Went back like fucking 6 months later not knowing how to play and beat him on second try... fuck that shit

Lezard Valeth (Anarchic Entity)

The final boss for Valkyrie Profile 2. It took me a month to beat him... and in new games + he (like every other mob and boss) gets even stronger each time you finish the game!

Anyways, this, at the time, was the absolute hardest boss I have ever fought, but then again I was probably around 6 years old when I was playing it. After you learn the timing, however, the fight was pretty predictable.

That boss is easy. Just find a conveniently placed broken bridge to jump and you win.
