Who makes a game where you can only heal yourself "sometimes" and never comes up when you need it?

Is that a trick question? <_<

That reminds me of this one Famicom game that Kotaku mentioned one time. Some game that a japanese comedian designed himself because he dislikes video games. So he deisgned that game as some sort of practical joke torwards gamers lol.

Yeah, I remember reading about that. He designed it so it would be horribly difficult, time-consuming and annoying. I think one task was to sing a certain song into a microphone for a full hour with no pauses.

Btw: regarding The Last Remnant, this Gates of Hell boss, do you mean that normal boss that you face along the story or some sort of optional post-end boss (I think it's called The Fiery Gates, a DLC form of The Gates of Hell)?
I'm asking because I don't remember the Gates of Hell being that hard, was a fairly mediocre boss battle (PC Version of the game, if that matters).

I mean the storyline one. I gave him honorable mention because he was the first boss I got stuck on. Made me go back and do side quests for about 2 days worth before coming back and beating him. After him, it was *spoilers* Berserk Cyclops with Gae Bolg. Haven't beat them yet, and probably never will. Lost interest because of the frustrating battle AI.

Edit* 360 version here. Dunno if one's harder than the other.

Custom AI Vocaloids in Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker.

One hit kills? It must be the PSP control layout which gets me killed more times than I care to count, but nothing else has killed me as much as these bastards.

Even the pose.. Square Enix are you lacking in creativity lately..? lol..

Serious boss fight by the way.. he's probably the only boss in the game capable of oneshotting any of your characters regardless of level and defense with that Immoral Meridian attack..

Today I tried to fight Vantias' Sentiment on KH: BBS today. Terra at lv. 40. Bad idea. The bastard made short work of me. As for Xenosaga episode 3, Zarathustra had an attack that could land over 5k on a single target. There was also his ultimate attack which i forgot the name of as well that could one shot the entire group. I remember having to depend on Chaos' Best Friend Specail for that.

Oh yeah.. I remember that attack.. I think it was called Lumen Nebulae.. but I don't remember the one that could kill your entire party.. the most damage dealing blow to the whole party he had was Trans Volans but I don't think it ever oneshotted my whole party..
But to speak about the boss which gave me major problems.. I'd say it was Omega ID.. it took me what..? 40 minutes to beat that piece of junk.. <.<;

Btw.. Immoral Meridian's damage peak is 13000.. o.o

The final boss of Arc the Lad II. Took me a whopping 90 minutes my first try. I do remember Ultima from FFT being quite a menace, but my memory is very cloudy on why.

Wow, wow, wow, and wow. I forgot about this boss. It took me about 2 hours to beat him also. Talk about making one hell of a final boss. Admitted, the first time I fought him, I used Fujin and Raijin to knock the boss out.

As for the Lingering Sentiment looking like the guy from Xenosaga 3. KH2 came out in 2005, the secret movie with that character model was already present. Xenosaga 3 came out in 2006. Must I go on?

Because you didn't use T.G. Cid, Beowulf, and characters with Dual Wield.

Turn order went this way: T.G. Cid >>> Ramsus >>> Beowulf >>> Agrias >>> Ultima >>> T.G. Cid. And then Ultima was dead. On the PSP version, I ended it before Ultima even got a turn. Dark Knights are overpowered...

Haha, I remember struggling along with Arc, Elc, Gruga, Poco and Gogen. What a team...

True. Actually I hardly ever used the main characters, and instead oftentimes ran a team of Ramza + 4 nameless. Ended up cheesing a lot of the game with 2 dancers, but of course that's not working so well against Ultima.

Alma from Ninja Gaiden, oh my GOD I was stuck on her for a month at least... with only one potion to restore my health and nothing else left, just me and my weapons and that one potion... I still managed to beat her. But my GOD was she hard. She's the reason I haven't replayed the game as of late. Plus I want to try Ninja Gaiden Black :3

Haha years back on my first playthrough of FFVIII, I got stuck on Adel. I just COULD NOT beat her. Had to restart the game <_<

I know there is another boss I'm forgetting, but I'll let my brain defrost with that one.

My friend and I had an Adel problem way back when as well~ Energy Bomber was a killer... Lucky for me I actually had the materials in my inventory to synthesize new items and stronger spells for junctioning. Once I learned how to use the junction system properly she became easy. My friend wasn't so lucky, and had to start over >.- That's the problem with having a boss like that in an area where there's no escape. .-.

Yeah, I remember making my way out of there, soon as I got to the exit..."NO! *cockblock* I CAN"T LEAVE RINOA HERE!"
Many facepalms were had...
Ever since then, I've learnt to always keep a second savefile ready for RPGs. lol
