Good question considering they were showing off 3d glasses (need 120hz monitor 60hz each eye) I would assume there wouldn't be a 30fps cap?

It's Squeenix. Some of the things they do, don't make sense.

See Absolute Virtue/ Pandemonium Warden.

(FFXIV is currently capped at 30fps, unless they changed it)

I'm not a troll, you're a troll, which is proven by your response being that of what a troll would say. Go away you troll.

It says almost everywhere in interviews that the team is building the system to exceed 30 FPS.

Not that 30 fps isn't detailed enough. I personally don't see what's so bad about only being 30 fps. Sure, it's a kindness on the older TVs and some people still use older TVs. I can understand why, too. HD didn't take off until a few short years ago, before then it was all some form of tube and some people got those ginormous thousand dollar big screen super 'flat' TVs. That's an investment! You don't just toss it out after a few years, you milk that TV for all it's worth including surround sound packages, fancy entertainment centers, cable TV with the sports package, the works. This is what companies have to work with, the 'lowest common denominator'. Everyone has an old TV somewhere, and some people still use it as their main TV today. You can't just ignore that no matter how much you think HD is 'the shit that every moron has by now'.
