Hello

Be now 6 weeks ofline, due my former xbow live card (LBB Bank Berlin expired end may 2010 (was not VbV).

Got an austria pre paid visa card, confused thing is,the verified by visa thing is accepted by SE during try update billing information...after click on submit,i get always the same errors like UCS 60257 ... 60259 ...

Play since nov.2003 on an NA Account and life in germany.

Epassporte works long till they changed to fund of us bank only.
LBB Bank Berlin,i have an visa pre paid card :-) ,but they dont support vbv atm
Card complete bank in austria;there i have too an card,VbV ok,accepted many times by SE...but i cant update my CC billing info due to UCS 60257.
Entropay ... works,i have an account there, but found out, they dont support VbV(on their wesite they offer it).
Mio Card looks nice and can work...but i have no chance to get one in europe(ok,i work at german lufthansa).

Now my questions:
============

1.Anyone in europe has fixed this problem? If yes,pls tell me what CC,visa or mastercard, work.
2.Did SE chnge their police,so that foreign cards not work anymore?
3.if i get an FFXI EU POL,just for update my NA billing info,do it work? Play on Windows XP.

Thx

And if you find any grammar errors(for ppl who have nothing better to do) ... you can have them :-)

You can't use EU POL to update NA billing info. Your best bet would be to speak to SE themselves or contact your various banks to resolve to VbV problem.

It is my understanding that POL doesn't use the verification process when updating your information when you use PS2. If you have a friend that uses PS2 you may be able to work it that way. Or even purchase an older large version of the PS2 with an HDD in the back and use it to update your payment information. Not sure if this will help or not but it would be worth a try if nothing else works.

So...? I don't really understand how this lets my bypass the securecode thing... Sorry If I am being a bit dense. But how does this solve my issue?

Yeah, I don't understand either. From my experience, you can't even get far enough for it to make a difference unless your card already has SecureCode/Verified by VISA. It will give you an error saying your card doesn't support it in POL(before the verify through your browser screen).

What I had to do to use the card I wanted was first go through the process with a card which does support it. Then after you verified it through your browser and all that, right before you submit it in POL(the final screen before you finalize the change to your payment info), you hit the Back button. Change the numbers to the credit card you want. It won't make you re-verify the new credit card.

That's obviously no good if you don't have a card which supports it. Only if you don't want to use your CC with SecureCode/Verified by VISA. I guess it would work if your friend or family member would let you borrow their card.
