Just wondering if any/all the piece of the new Gules Set from synergy have potential to make useful 4/5/6 hits on RNG. Some of them have some pretty big amounts of Store TP on them.

Lv. 79 MNK / THF / RNG

Gules harness

DEF: 47 Ranged Accuracy -6
Ranged Attack +8 Evasion +10
"Store TP" +6

Gules Harness +1

Gules Mittens

Gules Mittens +1

"Store TP" +3
Lv. 79 MNK / THF / RNG / BLU / COR / PUP / DNC

The HQ version of the body seems like the most valuable piece in this, feels kind of like an Aurum Cuirass for RNG. Assuming you use Mirke Wardecors with Snapshot/Rattack augments, granted you lose the Snapshot, which sucks. but if it gives you a more workable 5 hit, could it actually be worth the change up?

I'd honestly rather use my Cobra Harness than diddle around with -Ranged Accuracy. Nonetheless, I'm sure it's completely workable depending on your requirements and gear. I'm honestly not terribly impressed, but this is a lot like the Perle/Aurore/Teal sets, in that it's a cheap way to fill in gaps for people who have never been able to get item X, Y, or Z (for instance, compare Aurore Brais to Byakko's Haidate).

I wouldn't use any of that to be honest. Racc is too important in fights were RNG is used.

That doesn't have STP on it.

Of the good new gear I got Siege bow and the snap+2 belt. I don't think snap+2 is worth using over Scout's but Ill be sure to try it out.

Praeda set kind of confuses me. It sort of wants to combine a Holy Bolt build with a standard shooting build. The -Enmity and Store TP along with Ranged Accuracy and Ranged Attack are certainly a very strong combination, but the MND on it just throws me because Enmity should be nearly the last of one's concerns with a Holy Bolt build and Ranged Attack is kinda negligible in same (well, not entirely, I still do fair damage from the melee aspect). Want it? Yes. Weird combination of stats, though.

Yea, I kind of thought this, but it doesn't really hurt to have MND if you're not using it. Really though, it's nice to get some hands/feet with STP and some other good stats on them.

iirc there is a crossbow with a very very low delay and who knows what the WS spam is like from that. imho ranged attacks generate slightly more enmity than a regular punch to the face or chop to the neck by melee weapons. That plus there might be something nasty in the works like a mnd effect on an arrow :D

I assume you mean Repeating/Machine Crossbow? I use that when I'm firing Holy Bolts. There is no WS spam to speak of, though, as the incredibly low delay means that I gain TP at a pretty lukewarm rate. The benefit of Holy Bolts is that upwards of 50% (or more, depending on the relative Defense and Magic Defense of the target) is completely Enmity free, hence why the -Enmity is sort of meh on Praeda. I'd honestly have to think for a while about whether I'd use Praeda for Holy Bolts as the Store TP +5 is likely irrelevant (and I still lack Trueflight), the -Enmity is negligible, Ranged Attack isn't terribly important, and the Ranged Accuracy and MND are inferior to my current combination of Suzaku's Sune-Ate and Seiryu's Kote.

I'd be interested to see if someone could try to crunch numbers comparing that to Repeating Crossbow+Holy Bolt and, for that matter, Othinus' Bow+Fusion Bolt. I'm pretty terrible at evaluating crossbows.
