I have had to put FFXI on hold since about a week after the level cap was raised and I have been curious to find out how it has been treating people. Aside from new content and leveling how have people been using their new powah!?

Is dienamis and limbus easier, how are gods in sea and sky? Energizer, salvage, or Nyzul been any easier? Also how about the various xNM systems.....

Looked around a bit but it seems people are spending their time conquering new heights rather than writing about them. Let's hear some new stories of new low mans. Wouldn't mind hearing about some new job/sub combinations people have discovered to be viable and useful.

You could maybe(EInherjar is really all that comes to mind) drop one or two people in any larger-scale timed event. Virtually nothing else can be done with any fewer number of players than a few months ago. None of us have received a significant increase in survivability, just a minor increase in physical damage output due to level correction's effect being reduced.

Everything in Sea and Sky can currently be done(fairly easily) with a single party or less, other than JoL and Kirin, both of which require about eight competent players. Einherjar, as I mentioned, could possibly be done with one or two fewer people. Nyzul Isle and Salvage shouldn't be effected(the former being possible with 3-4, depending on luck, the latter being possible with 1-6, depending on what you're after).

What about Mage soloing? With the increase in cap for things like enfeeble does that make anything easier? Those mobs that didn't stick might stick now? Idk

Nothing fitting those criteria exists. Things have certainly become slightly easier, but nothing that couldn't be done before is possible now.

Well, in salvage, I've witnessed immence improvement. I wouldn't go as far as low-man, but the typical salvage sets will not be as stressed for time as before.

I think the last lvl8 beseiged I joined at the start, ended in 30 minutes instead of hitting the time limit (mamools).

Obviously SMN/RDM. Beyond that, I haven't really heard of anything mind-blowing.

DNC/SAM, doubt it's new but it's a more useful sub now that DNC has DW. Also DNC/WAR.

what is the max dual wield dnc gets now?

Anyone see anything worth mentioning about viable combinations @ 99? speculation go!

edit: looks like dual wield 4 @ 80 for dnc......

edit2: has anyone with the right kind of gear actually tried NIN/COR with coffinmaker yet?

edit3: When the hell are they going to add old gear to the trial of the magians like they said they would, I would lot rather upgrade my senji then to have to maul a buttload of random mobs with a crappy base weapon.

edit4: NIN/RDM looks promising @ 99 with aquaveil, phalanx, stone skin, raise 1, refresh, regen, haste, protect 3, shell 2, cure 4, MAB 1 and 2, MDB 1 and 2, Fast cast 1 and 2 ( along with loq earing, mirke body, and new fast cast katana) might be pretty fun.

you have to understand where kap is coming from, he is talking bare minumin numbers for events, and his statements i would agree with.
if you are doing the old fashioned way, having a full ally on stuff and what not, you will see fights go a lot quicker.

being 80 atm is nothing groundbraking past that it is easier to compare your self to high end 75 gear with the new stuff out and like he siad level correlation.

plays the semantics card :

you cannot have MABI with MAB II, and you have MAB II already wtih /rdm. ( its rdm 40)

you just say "i get MAB II" traits don't stack is the only point i want to state with this ( you may know better, people posting prob do, but you never know whos reading)

same how you stated fast cast trait.
