I'm seeing people offering 500k for these..been camping AH waiting for a pair to be posted but nothing so far. I did however see that someone on my server(asura) is selling a pair for 2 million. Supply and demand aside, would any of you pay that much for them?

Get a group, get them yourself. I'd max out about 1 million on these, personally, but I'm cheap. They're a niche item, one job only, and to be used to their fullest requires a huge time investment in a Magian weapon. Moreover, they're not difficult to acquire (as compared to, say, Ridill or Valkyrie's Fork, I mean). All of that speaks to an easy supply and a low demand. On the other hand, with time being precious in Abyssea, which I find really tedious, there's less incentive to provide the supply side until the more profitable options have been destroyed thoroughly, like Thew Bomblet.

It seems like they'll be that price for a while. The NM isn't ridiculously easy like some of the other ones, and the gnoles in the area aren't exactly idea for XP, so people aren't really up to farming it.

Makes no difference at this point. They'll be outdated in less than a month. Only 5% ahead of tapian fangs (fire) as it is. h2h scales better than footwork so when we lv up in a month, h2h will get a higher % increase. Tapian fangs will also be upgraded statistically, where as poise shoes will not.

1 of two things

A) New kick ass shoes will come along, poise shoes will be worthless
B) No new shoes comes, punching surpasses footwork, poise shoes will be worthless.

Sell em while you can boys

Preparatory update on the 31st suggests we'll be getting the next content update in under two weeks. Which is unusually fast for SE. Also, is the scaling that different at 85? I think Motenten did his thing assuming level 90 (but apparently SE is gonna drag this out). You could probably get by using Footwork, especially if you still have a Brown Belt for whatever reason.

This is all assuming they don't upgrade the OA3 weapons to have a better spread of attacks.

What's that got to do with anything? I'm floating around an 80% Double Attack rate as it is. Unless they make Footwork able to attack more than twice AND improve the multi-attack spread on Ursine Claws (bare minimum: identical to Soboro Sukehiro, Ridill, and Mercurial Kris), a few more percentage points of Double Attack under Footwork will be completely negligible. If they don't do both things and, for instance, give Footwork the ability to attack more than twice but leave us with Ursine Claws as they are, we'll actually lose DPS. I believe "Occasionally attacks 2-4 times" is in the dats and is almost certainly the next level, but being absolutely the most generous, I'd bet SE wouldn't do much better than a 40:30:20:10 spread. Given how deliberately lacklustre the Magian OA2-3 weapons are compared to existing, however, I'd expect it to work out to something more like 45:30:20:5.

It won't be THAT diff, but it'll be diff. Every base dmg gained from h2h favors h2h more than footwork. Every point of attack gained also helps h2h over footwork.

The main factor though is that Tapian fangs are most likely to get a lv 85 version, thus needing new shoes. As for what they do w/ the claws and if they intend to fix the twice per round or not, we'll see, but even if footwork is still in, I see it with another pair of shoes and poise being a thing of the past

Doubt it

If you want to do wishful thinking sure. But even then, they've only announced magians for the abyssea armor for now

It was more of a joke than anything, although it'd be nice.
