Dagger Face-off which to do?

there are 2 daggers in the trial of the magians quest that I want but I can only do one cuz its rare/ex.

#1) 20(or 21, idr) base dmg, occ attks 2-3x which clearly makes it an offhand dagger.

#2.) 41 base dmg double attack +7. with 41 base dmg that's clearly a mainhanded weap.

I'm kinda confused on which of the two to go for and which would be better not only for dnc but for thf.

so far I plan on taking the occ attk 2-3x route just cuz they're gona own for tp gain, but that's something dnc has no issues with lol but for thf that looks awsome.

on the other hand that DA+7 looks amazing too .. ugh idk.

need KI to make the decision for me plz :) or atleast some opinions.

Been thinking about this too, but getting 41 base dmg double attack +7 could be hard to kill 30 Adzes in abyssea. I'm not pro with dnc yet. Well, I'm working on 2-3 occ atk dagger, because I could make a lot of TP in a shorter time. I saw a JP DNC was fighting against three or four orc in campaign battle herself and she was equipping that dagger w/ occ 2-3 atk and Joyuese. She killed all of them without a problem. That dagger did make some 500+ WS dmg with 20 dmg. This dagger could give you many chances to live.

I'm working towards Occ. attacks 2 to 3 times as my offhand dagger to replace the Joyeuse since sword is a lower skill for DNC. Ugh... 324 more Arcana to go.

My real damage weapon will be Azoth or Behemoth's +1 in the main hand. I'm also working on Polearm for my Dragoon, but towards the Empyrean version.

Azoth and 2-3 occ atk would be best for fighting against IT mobs with high evasion.

2-3 occ atk dagger and Joyeuse are best for soloing and campaign battles. (And healing your party)

The dex 6 and acc one, the str 6 and attack one, are fine replacments for that crap. I can not quote "emperrean" ( what is with this name for these anyway?) may have a good future use. that is low delay for that D

if you do the occ 2-3 times it could be a good or bad idea for dnc since you have that double attack move and sometimes sub war.

to op:

if you are trying to only do 2 to use on thf and dnc, the occ 2-3 times is a bad choice.

keep in mind paths may change in what is "best to do" so pick wisely, i figured it would be hard to go wrong with a weapon that has huge dex and acc for thf and dnc but who knows. I only did that because i figured there be something where the extra acc would be helpful and the machinics on how sneak attack works

from a thf prospective i think all the parazonium daggers ( DA one, the Oat ones) have high delay , i dont think thf would use those but dnc might, the jobs are not wired the same way

you can also try some x hit setpup with stp dagger since some see on /sam, not sure how useful that be since cures take tp but something to consider.

I'm divided about whether we should be doing the fully upgraded OAT or OA2-3, but I lean towards OA2-3. If you're DDing in a party, you would be using Saber Dance, which makes the OAT dagger less attractive than offhanding a fully upgraded Kila. If you're not DDing, then getting TP is your priority and the OA2-3 is preferable. The OA2-3 also seems more likely to me to lead to the OA2-4 that we can see is possible in the .dats.

Daggers to get:
1) DEX/Acc Kila - If your Acc is below 90%, Kila/Parazonium is better for TP gain and DPS than Auric/Parazonium. If you are DDing, you'll want to do Auric/Kila.
2) Auric Dagger - If your Acc is above 90%, Auric/Parazonium is better TP gain and DPS than Kila/Parazonium. If you are DDing, you'll want to do Auric/Kila.
3) Parazonium (2-3) - Offhand for when you're main healing.
.
.
.
4) STR/Atk Kila - for Zergs
5) Agi/Eva Kila(s) - for Soloing
