Nostalgia

I come visit these forums now and then, not as much as I used to since I played this game (quit a couple years ago), and it really makes me truly miss this game.

I visited my old server's forums (Fairy) only to notice the thread I made not only locked, but the whole forum locked too. It's really sad that the server I've grown to love is no longer here, and merged with Sylph.

Now with FF14 on the horizon, I'm really trying to get back in touch with my friends. I'm honest when I say this, no other MMORPG I've played has touched me in such a way as this one has. I feel horrible I haven't been on here as much as I would've liked, but it's kind of hard to cling to the forums of a game I haven't played in years. But, the dawn of a new day has come, and I've returned. I'm not even sure if anyone I hung out with even plays, especially so since the servers have merged.

But, here I am. I use MSN under tide.fury@gmail.com and also have a blog under 1UP that I check pretty regularly.

So... yeah. I hope to get in touch with my friends from the past. I miss you all. <3

I look through my friends list every now and then and see old names on there of friends long past. I get nostalgic when I see friends I haven't spoken to in years. Matter of fact and old friend of mine (that I met through my now ex-gf) is back on a new char and have started talking again. As much as we say and believe this is just a game, the bonds we create and share with close friends in here is something that's real, and something we never lose. And I hope to carry my friendships I have now and meet up with old friends in XIV when it comes out, as well as make new friends who I will create new bonds with and continue to be nostalgic when they part ways, too. lol I hope you catch up with some of your old friends soon enough. ^_^

Agreed. I'm gonna give it a month or so before deciding if I want to play it full-time.

Oh, come on. We've taken it up the ass from SE for years, surely you're used to it by now? The only question is if there's more positives to the game than negatives, and from my beta experience, I'd say the positives come out on top. Besides, much like FFXI, it's not so much the game itself that was awesome, but the people you played with and against.

Yeah I gotta agree with that. SE was fucking AWFUL for the years of FFXI that actually mattered (when people gave a crap). But the other players and the villains and the drama and insanity plus the really cool people more than made up for it all. Just hoping they don't bring back Dragon's Aery. Lmao. Talk about a bed of pain.

It's not drama unless a Spike Flail is involved.

Reaallyyy missing you guys. Not even kidding. Going through withdrawls.

I want to get FF14, but honestly, I'm scared I won't make the connection as I did with 11. And where is everyone? Everyone is split up on different servers or not even playing at all. I don't wanna start and be alone and linkshell ~less on that game, lol. :/
