For those of you that do not know, Tactics Ogre was a video game that was released for the SNES in the earlier 90's, and as you can tell from the artwork and graphical style, this is from the people who created the Final Fantasy Tactics series, and almost plays exactly alike with differences here and there. I am looking forward to this, everything is upgraded to look HD and the remake of this game is looking beautiful thus far. There is no announced date for the title yet, but I am sure it will be here sometime mid-2011 for us. This is a great way to bring an old game back, rerelease it exactly the way it was, just upgrade it to look nice and HD like.

Well I never really considered the PSP as a HD platform, but yea I'm looking forward to this remake as well. Also I didn't know it's from the same ppl that made FFT, though I did think it looked oddly familiar lol. Now I've got even more of a reason to get it!

And now I have to buy a new PSP...

You wouldn't think it, but the PSP is the highest quality handheld system in terms of resolution.

HD does not necessarily mean HD screen. High Definition can also mean increasing the graphical standards of the original game. Like Final Fantasy 1 for PSP was the HD remake of the GBA version.

I have heard of this game, but never played it. Have to say though, it looks really interesting... I might consider getting it along with P3P for my PSP.

The actual character models still look the same as they did before.

And forgive me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this out before FFT?

Yes it is, but Final Fantasy Tactics is more known than Tactics Ogre. Easier to refer to FFT when talking about the game.

I don't think it is suppose to be a remake necessarily, despite what I said above, its suppose to be an enhanced port. Enhanced to wide screen, HD detail, and updated character portraits. Possibly translated to be closer to the Japanese script, and maybe some extra content not present in the SNES version.

Yes. The team that made Tactics Ogre went on to make FFT, too, if I remember correctly.

Then the Nintendo DS screwed everything up.

I still should go buy a PSP for the FFT remake, and now this one.

Did I miss something? When did they announce a FFT remake?

If that's true I'll be loving my psp for a while longer then lol.

I think he might mean Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, which is an updated version of the original Final Fantasy Tactics on the PS1.

Yea that, it came out a few years back iirc. Added a couple high level dungeons as well I believe.

Loved the updated version of the game. Balthier was a great add in. Funny thing is, if you make a whole team of Dark Knights, nothing can come close to remotely touching you. >_>

That's because it's like turning your entire team into Thundergod Cid.
