yeah after we beat everything in the game with half as many people as every other HNMls on the server I broke the shell in disgust at how childish this game was and moved on to fighting bears with wiffle bats to cleanse the taint of casual that was FFXI. Then I sold all of my people off like slaves to a dutch ship captain. Littlebear gave me 50m for Neera and a few others, you don't even know how much money I made selling gil from KoN and WW for my team to IGE.

But that's a whooooole other story lol.

In other news I hear people still play XI and struggle on the same dumb shit I taught them to beat years ago, that's crazy yo.

You fail lol. Just read how to get it playable on my ati card but it will break pol. I do think the retail version will be better. There was basicly nothing in open beta. Atleast I'm hoping anyway. The game killer will be the whole lack of ah crap I think.

I pretty much do what everyone else does in XIV. Leves, logoff til reset, rinse and repeat.

If XI wouldn't cost me so much (Server transfer, 3 Abyssea addons, initial monthly fee) I'd be tempted to come back to that.

Well that doesnt sound very enticing... I tried it when it first got released and was blown away by how much it sucked.... Good potential, whens 2.0 coming? Is it supposed to be "fixed"?

Not til the end of the year, assuming there's no drawbacks. However, the team hasn't had an update happen come out on the planned date.

They added jobs in the last patch (PLD/MNK/WAR/BRD/BLM/WHM/DRG), but right now it feels more like a desperate attempt to get attention than a useful system. Only difference between a class and a job is I take a fairly big sacrifice to setting abilities from other classes for some exclusive skills. As a Lancer, I can set 10 abilities from any other class I want. As a Dragoon, I'm limited to 5 abilities and they can only be from the Archer/Pugilist skill tree, however I gain new attacks like Jump, Disembowl, and a few other things once I complete the quest to unlock them.

Collectiong AF can be a major pain in the ass to. Some pieces you can get on your own if you're careful, others you need to find a group for. At least for the most part AF is good when compared to XI's laughable stats on most of it. Though at the same time some peices look like they can be replaced from the start. I really don't see a use for the PLD Body/Feet other than looks since you can meld enmity materia to a sword and use a pair of Cobalt Sabatons and a Cobalt Cuirass with HP materia to give you a bigger HP pool.

Well once you hit 50 there's not a lot to do other than Ifrit/Moogle and the new raids. And it's like XI where you do the same thing about... 100+ times til you get what you want.
